It's rare that newcomers elicit such a feverish response from regular Weekly Webcomic Wrapup pollsters -- yet Nerf Now's first appearance in our illustrated revue managed to pull in a startling 43.3 percent of the vote! We can understand why -- their winning comic, "World 4-1," possess all the necessary ingredients for success: Popular video game characters, irony and (of course), dirty words. We don't approve of that type of talk around here, mister -- but we're not ones to censor anyone's profanity-laden artistic offerings.
Second and third place went to xkcd's "Oregon" and Castle Vidcons' "Pretender to the Throne," respectively. We'll be getting our Wrapup on once again tomorrow evening -- if you've got a strip you'd like to see in the running, now's the time to submit it via a comment or tip!

Lol, I love this comic. I wish all video game comics had this kind of humor.
Am I the only one who thinks Penny Arcade is totally boring?

I like it up to a point. And that point is typically when they degenerate into gibbering XBox fanboys. =P

Penny arcade is pretty great... much better than other sites like CAD. Their comics aren't always funny, but they try new things and usually hit the nail on the head.
Castle Vidcons... i must say i totally agree... it just has no point. It was fun for a short time, in the wake of a new release of consoles, and it's art style was fresh at the time.
But it really has nothing to say.... and it's never funny. It's just the same thing every time.

Penny Arcade has its ups and downs, but is far funnier and well-drawn than this weeks webcomic.

That was far and away the best comic of the week. Finally someone comes up with a PDS (Peach Defense System) that works. Anyway, here's the +1 Comics entry for the week:

That was pretty funny. But it was too hard to understand who was saying what.

For this week: VGCats updated. Holy ! VGCats updated!
Also, Dueling Analogs had something to say about Blizzard and backward compatability this week.
Was this the right place to submit via comment?

The MNC humbly submits the following comics for the potential weekend poll:
Professor Layton:

Dissidia:
http://www.mondaynightcrew.com/issues/comic_0179.html
The Nerdy Truth: (my personal favorite)
http://www.mondaynightcrew.com/issues/comic_0180.html
A week of three gaming related comics and no story line advancement. How odd of us.

The floating bad guy from Duke Nukem and the pink demon that charges you in original Doom (sometimes he's invisible).

I kept expecting that to happen to Bowser in one of the RPGs, but alas it never did.
