Weekly Webcomic Wrapup is gearing up for PAX

Next weekend, we'll not only get a rare opportunity to meet the gaming webcomic world's poet laureates, Jerry and Mike from Penny Arcade, but during one of the panels at PAX, we'll actually get to see how the sausage gets made. We're understandably excited -- but we've got that sinking feeling in the pit of our stomach we always get when we think we've forgotten something. We're sure it's nothing, but when oh God we forgot to get plane tickets and event passes and we didn't book our hotel oh no oh no oh no

2P Start or Penny Arcade?

Lawdy, I can't deecide.

I liked 2p start a bit better than PA.

Same here. If it was the Dissidia comic... well, maybe I'd change my tune.

2P strat got my vote, although I found PA to be the funniest.

It was the DS in the background printing money that did it for me.

The duck sighing was what made me choose it.

PA Brings up a good question: Who would win in a fight? Batman or Sam Fisher?

Deep down I have a feeling that Fisher would win, only because he ALWAYS wins...

If there is anyone who ALWAYS wins, it's Batman.

Oh god... Batmambit would be the scariest hero ever.

Batman would win against gambit because gambit would spend too much time thinking of something witty and cajun related to say.

They should have thrown Solid Snake in there somewhere.

my god, this is the worst week as a whole i've ever seen. MNC isn't even a joke or a punchline, same as BitF.

hmm Penny Arcade or MNC... hmm.

Both DU and WIS had nice mario jokes, but the obvious winner this week is Penny Arcade. Would be hilarious if that was an easter egg in Arkham!

Grand Theft Mario, if only because i've never seen anyone make that connection before.

When I saw the title I thought it would be a lame GTA/Mario connection, but it was very good.

Professor Layton is one of the greatest video game characters ever. No one calls Luigi a pet abuser just because he has a dinosaur instead of a dog.

I half agree with you, the comic wasn't funny, but when i think of the greatest video game characters Layton doesn't come to mind.

It's not JUST because he's a video game character. It's because it's a stupid premise that shouldn't be considered by anyone mature enough.
The other thing is the fact that there were kids locked up in the basement. That's pretty fucking ridiculous in the first place.

Virtual Shackles was pretty awesome this week, especially since I know a couple game testers that would love to just explain a bug as "magic" and leave for lunch. However, Penny Arcade wins the week by showing how much more ninja Batman is than Sam Fisher. That terrorist is so screwed.
