Last week, Canadians were privy to a fantastic deal, netting them Batman's latest adventure for $40. This week, American gamers are being treated to a buy-one-get-one-half-off promotion at Best Buy on a laundry list of Xbox 360 software. The deal is pretty simple: Purchase one qualifying Xbox 360 title and get a second game (of equal or lesser value) for 50% off. To sweeten the deal Best Buy is even throwing in free shipping for your purchase.
Strangely, the fine print mentions gamers can only select items that are currently in stock, but list Modern Warfare 2 as one of the qualifying titles. Keep in mind that this offer can end at any time, so if you're looking to stock up for the winter season now is as good a time as any.
[Thanks, vidGuy!]

He means both demo's suck, since the full releases aren't available yet. But yeah, they do suck so bad, there is no saving the retail versions.

i enjoyed section 8 enough to get it for 25, and i might even pay full price for Wet, i quite enjoyed the demo. Also Dirty; prepare for unforeseen consequences

Both demo's honestly left a bad taste in my mouth. Section 8 just outright sucked ass, it was slow, felt clunky and alot of things didn't make sense. Like the sniper scope for example, it just zoomed in like 5 feet in front of you. What kind of sniper rifle is that? And WET just looked like ass, played like ass and seemed like a quick Kill Bill rip.

Some people are just retarded like that. Personally, if I disagree with someone, I'd like to tell them why, instead of downvoting silently like an a-hole.

Yep Getting Halo 3 ODST and then Modern Warfare 2 looks like the best deal here if you're more into getting new games.
Is best buy giving the codes out for Sgt. Johnson?

In what way though? The three they show have been pretty generally noted as very good games. Either you haven't played them all, or you have VERY distinct tastes in video games man.

They're trying to get rid of 360 games so there's room for more PS3 games silly.

demon soul, isnt that the game where you die in 3 hits and have to restart all the way or something brutal like that? Yeah im sure that'll be a huge hit. Lots of things are huge in japan but completely nonexistant in the US, so dont use that as a justification. But yeah i dont agree with your downvoting, the other 2 are great games and there wasnt anything remotely hostile in your post

I have to say I would love the same deal for PS3 games.
While I have both a PS3 and 360, I really need to build up my PS3 collection it's not as big as I would like :(

Yeah also, Demon Soul's is not a big deal over here. You die constantly, lose all your progress on whatever dungeon you're on as well as gear etc etc. I'd be surprised if that sold 300k here.

I'd take advantage of this, except 1) there's nothing out right now that I want and 2) I've already got like 5 fall/winter games paid off or mostly paid off at gamestop. What can I say, I love most of their preorder bonuses.

If you're lack of cash flow is due to unemployment, I'm sorry man. Hopefully the economy will keep picking up slowly and you'll find something.

Yeah im confused, it says in stock items only but the page you're directed to when you click on the "extensive list" has a whole lot of pre order items with the 50 percent off thing below the add to cart button. What gives?

I think they are talking about games Like Skate and Tony Hawks Proving Ground.
Both games say they can't be shipped for some reason.

Pre-orders will work. It's a really solid deal when you consider you could get 2 games that will be new releases in a few months for $45 a piece (plus tax or shipping and all that good stuff). If they had a PS3 deal going on right now I'd definitely pre-order Uncharted 2 and MW2, but alas, it looks like I'll be paying full retail for them :(
