Yeeah, I read about this. That is hardcore.

Fuck a Banhammer, this is more like a baNuke.

Did you know the producer of the game and his colleagues have clocked over 40 hours of this game already? And they made the bloody game...

I have the Homebrew Channel on my Wii, would that cause death and destruction?

Jesus...that's a good point...

I guess though technically if you import it, you're screwed, but otherwise it should be fine because you won't have to use the homebrew channel.

As far as I know it isn't the Homebrew channel that is doing it. Its in game hacks that will screw you. From little stuff like showing the enemy's HP to making yourself stronger and what not.

It is a fun function for a permaban. Now that guy needs to put his Wii with a copy of MH3 in a time capsule, so the future can dig it up in 10,000, and see if the prophecy comes true.

In the year 12008, Megaman will uncover the time capsule and play the ancient Wii.

It would be funny that in january 1st of 10000 someone remembered this and checked out of the account was really unbanned already only to find out they AV output of the Wii ain't compatible with the current display mechanism and says "this platform is soooo last gen"

Sounds more like a glitch then an actual ban. surely it would say a permanent ban rather than the year 9999.

In some games, a ridiculously long suspension is their version of a permaban. It's easier to do than to just make up a whole new "ban" setting.

Its the same for most forums I go to. The people on them, that I know, that get permabanned usually just get a message telling them they have an insanely long time until they are unbanned.
