That's the "Dude, you're getting a Dell" dude!
Last I heard, he got busted with possession of The Pot.

Seems to be dead already. I added it to the cart and applied the coupon and it said it's not valid on any items in the cart.

I tried it too. It seems they no longer sell the Playstation 3 at all, according to the website.

Once these deals hit the Slickdeals main page, they don't usually last long. Either inventory sells out, or the limit on the coupon kicks in.

just an FYI - i believe the coupon codes have a certain amount of people that can get in on the deal before it won't work.

i bought my xbox pro through dell.com because of the coupon about a year ago. i had been using techbargains.com to get a coupon code for the deal, but nearly every time the coupon didn't work.

instead, i signed up for my own dell.com account and they emailed me a coupon within the next week and i managed to take advantage of the deal.

in other words, just sign up and wait patiently for your coupon to arrive in your inbox.

Hey, the Microsoft HDD only costs $150. You could almost get a new Elite for the same price.

In defense of Dell, this was up for quite some time actually. It would seem that they had an inordinate amount of orders and had to take it down. I'm sure they were losing boatloads on it. It was up in the wee hours of the morning, didn't get posted here until the afternoon. Happens all the time with other products.

On the flipside, I did get in, and it's already shipped and will be here on the 3rd. So in your collective faces! =P

Don't buy an Xbox from Dell (or any online merchant) if you want to be sure you're getting the Jasper chipset!

I even chatted with a Dell rep before I bought mine, and they assured me it was the Jasper chipset. When I received it, it was the Falcon. Ugh. Ultimately, I returned it and bought it from Target, where I could peek at the unit and verify it was a Jasper before buying.

Dell has run this same coupon deal numerous times in the past, it is their way of clearing out old stock of Pro's and PS3's that have been sitting around since MOST people don't shop Dell for their gaming needs. Chances are none of these Pro systems have the Jasper chipset, but more likely the Falcon. To those who don't care, then they get a good deal, but to those who are hoping for a Jasper-chipset Pro, highly doubt it will happen, but a few may slip by.
