Thanks for the heads up, Andrew.

Yeah, it's too little, too late for me. Poor KoF.... I was severely debating getting this, or BlazBlue when Guilty Gear nostalgia finally brought me over to their new franchise.

Guess it's for the best! A changing of the Guard, of sorts...

I wonder if after everything (Crappy game with crappy online mode that pretty much tells longtime fans to go play BlazBlue) there are still people that actually care enough about this game to actually use this patch.

yeah, too little too late for me as well.
KoF is my favorite franchise, so i was looking forward to this game. Then it turned out it really wasn't a full game. A dream match with no story, arcade mode with only like 5 fights, no boss, and broken online play.

While it's cool to see the characters redrawn and reanimated, i think i'll have to wait till the next one. Hopefully we'll get back Mai, Shingo, K', a non 94 version Kyo, and a more normal moveset Iori, as well as the continuation of the New Orochi story line.

if i wanted a dream match, i'd load up 98'

The game is a total anti-climax... Got me bored in the first 20 minutes, arcade mode didn't fell right, neither the loading screen. But hey, let's try it online, since , you know, Blazblue online rocks. So......Gosh, i played like 1 not-lagged battle out of 10. A battle with lag response is totally pointless, turns to be a push-that-button-faster battle. And yet i'm not pointing up the countless screens you need to go before entering a battle, which will take you precious time. Luck for me, i just rented this game. So bohoo, too late.

The patch came 4 weeks too late. I love this game unfortunately my friends don't so if I want to play against another human its gotta happen online. Sadly a month went by and it was still broken so I ended up trading it in to gamestop last friday.

The online was its online saving for KOF XII being a incomplete title...I am only playing this to get the last online trophies needed for my platinum. They need to release a "Complete DLC" package that finishes off the game (free of course). Even if its not all the characters that have profile space on the disc....they should atleast add the missing special moves and DM for most of the characters. SNKP are nigh on being a fall off game developer.... and this is from a die hard SNK fan.

This game brought an early death for the franchise instead of a "revival". It is really, really awful... in almost every plane. That coming from a long-time fan of the series.

I said weeks ago that I would buy this game if the shoddy netcode was fixed, but now that it is, I feel like I have more than enough to satisfy my fighter itch between BlazBlue and SFIV. Too little too late, indeed.

Well, I'm guessing this is good for us Europeans, since the patch will probably be implemented when the game is released over here, around the end of september.

Any word from the ps3 users who already have the patch, if it fixes the online play, or just barely noticeable improvements?

I played an imported copy at a friend's place, so I know what the lag you're all talking about it -_-

Nope, this patch has not "fixed" online play. I played with it yesterday for a number of matches and every one of them was still plagued with input lag, just like it was after the first patch to "fix" online play.
