Net a free Avatar shirt with the purchase of The Beatles: Rock Band

Specially marked boxes of the upcoming music title The Beatles: Rock Band include a unique bonus: an exclusive Avatar shirt. The freebie marks the first (and hopefully not the last) time Avatar apparel has been given away alongside the launch of a game, giving extra incentive for users to pick up a copy of the Xbox 360 version. Coincidentally, it'll make for a hilarious image when your Avatar shows up in Guitar Hero 5 donning a Rock Band promo t-shirt -- if Avatar apparel is able to show up in game, that is.

Of course, this news only matters if your Avatar's dress code includes wearing band logo shirts. Our Avatar dress code allows only suit and tie, because we're gentlemen. Make sure to check out Major Nelson's Flickr page for details on how to spot the free bonus at retail.

All I can say is that I too hope more games follow in provideing FREE (or unlockable) avatar clothes.

I particularly hate Avatars in general, so give me a free map, weapon skin, or character costume over AVATAR CLOTHING any day.

Man i got a real on of those shirts in cologne, so i don't need this.

Nice lookin shirt! This game just keeps gettin better.

I've got to admit it's getting better, a little better all the time.

I'd also much rather have a map, weapon, skin, etc than avatar clothing, but the chances of that happening are too slim. I can be more hopefull in regularly recieving some free avatar crap than actual usefull stuff.

Gears of War 2 gave users a bunch of free maps. Brutal Legend gives pre-order customers at GameStop a free guitar skin.

i know it wont ever happen but this should be standard for every xbox game.

You bet I would too! .....But it's the Beatles we're talking about... it wouldn't cost a dollar, even just a halo helmet doesn't cost $1 :/

Why WOULDN'T avatar apparel show up in GH5? It shows up in every other game...

since no one that has actually played GH5 yet has commented, i will just say that yes premium/purchased avatar t shirts show up in GH5. I have the Halo "Stuck" t shirt and it shows up.

I'm sick of this shit.... First avatar clothing/props are grossly overpriced. Now I have to preorder something to get a friggin shirt?!

Where are the avatar awards already?!?!
They're should've been a slew of gears/halo stuff for avatars that unlocked retro-actively for like beating the games on insane/legendary or something.

Why is the Avatar Awards section still friggin' blank????

I already have the shirt, and I plan on getting the PS3 version of the game :O
