The
ESRB has proven to be the unacknowledged PR firm for the announcement of
Sony's PSOne Classics -- today, the ratings board
released its biggest onslaught of upcoming PSN titles to date, including such gems as:
- Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain
- Cool Boarders 3
- International Track & Field
- Oddworld: Abe's Exodus
- Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee
- Pandemonium!
- Syphon Filter 2
- Um Jammer Lammy
Some of these ratings are new -- however,
Um Jammer Lammy has already been released in Japan, and
Blood Omen and
Pandemonium! were actually given ratings last March before mysteriously disappearing from the ESRB site. Hopefully, their resurfacing is indicative of their swift arrival -- we're jonesing for some old fashioned, Silicon Knights-branded Vampiolence.

Someone gave me Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain a few years back, and I finally got around to playing it. It's extremely 'meh.' I hear Soul Reaver is 100x better, though.

I'm looking forward to trying Kain and Abe games for the first time. Hopefully, both will be only $6 so I can by them(not buying any for $10, because that is bs). Wasn't Pandemonium released on the Nokia N-whatever at launch? Cool Boarders 3 is not as fun as I thought it was. Really want Soul Reaver to come out, mine doesn't work.

Uh, are you guys sure you played the original Blood Omen and not the horrible follow-up? The original is a totally kick-ass Zelda-style game. The Soul Reaver offshoots are great, don't get me wrong, but the original isn't "meh".

here's to hoping they give the graphics to blood omen a little boost. I don't think those sprites have stood the test of time very well. But damn I loved that game (well series really! Except that one shitty Kain game). The last one that finished the series was pretty awesome too. Great ending!

I've been hoping for some kind of remake, or at least an HD spruce up. You basically need to have played this one to understand the later games, and it definitely hasn't aged well.

I want more Oddworld games. Stranger's Wrath was one of the single best games of the last gen. I don't know what's happened with the dev (Oddworld Inhabitants), but I really wish they would come back to the Oddworld universe.
