L.A. Noire still coming, 'innovative' says Take-Two boss

Team Bondi's long-in-development, film noire inspired L.A. Noire is still in development, despite a now years-long absence from the public eye. Last we heard, the developer was still staffing up for the Rockstar-published game; today, Take-Two CEO Ben Feder provided a little more hope that it'll eventually come out.

During Take-Two's financials call earlier, Feder said that, although there was "nothing to announce," the company is "continuing to develop [the game]." As reported by G4, the CEO also said that the title is viewed internally as "pretty exciting and innovative," but that any new info will come "when we have more to share." How about sharing what makes it so exciting and innovative with us, for starters?

No he's right. I thought that Rockstar's exclusive for the PS3 was some transcontinental retro spy game.

That's the last we heard. No one's ever come along to refute the story that it's coming to the 360 too.

In all seriousness the Zune HD indeed looks like it should have been what the zune was in the first place.

But back on topic.
They need to show more of L.A. Noir, seriously.
It's shrouded way to much in mystery.

So its this game and Agent? Both exclusive to the ps3 and with no media released except for a CG trailer for LA noire. They better be good!

This game will come out shortly after Duke Nukem Forever.

I suppose this is still a PS3 exclusive until its OFFICIALLY announced to be on 360 as well....I just want to get my hands on it before my 4 year old daughter gets her drivers license....

We need a new Duke Nukem Forever. I think it's a toss-up between this, GT5 and HL2E3.

Definitely this, Valve always delivers even if it takes a long time but they never back out, GT5 will probably come out, eventually, maybe. This i doubt will ever see the light of day. GET IT?! CAUSE IT'S A NOIR GAME WHICH TAKES PLACE EXCLUSIVELY AT NIGHT!

Agent seems a BIT more concrete but I really don't think this game has a future. This is way worse than Alan Wake.

I would normally complain about this being the 4th "Take-Two" related article today, but the image intrigues me.

I see 1920's style clothing. What's L.A. Noire about?

Somehow the image reminded me of an idea for a game I once read about Chivalry in which you fence against different gentlemen from the Renaissance for the love of a maiden. I want that game made now. :(

I think I will attempt to end this flame war by commenting on the innovative direction Take-Two is taking this game. I assume it will probably be a murder/mystery type setting a la filme noire.

Problem is they're all low budget and awful.

I realize that, but the comment wasn't made regarding the genre in isolation. Innovation is an accumulation of incremental facts and experiences which create an overall which deviates substantially enough from the norm to demand attention.

I was merely referring to the fact that it is a bit different from the run of the mill Halo/GoW Michael Bay masterpiece.

I hope it's like the old Mac game, Déja Vu. (at least in terms of atmosphere).

I have to agree with the first guy. Everything we know about this game is conceptual. It's vaporware with a cool teaser trailer to put it's name out there. If thats all it takes to get you excited for a "game" than good for you, but meh about sums up how I feel.

This game has to win me over from Mafia II now, seeing as how it's made me wait this long. And Mafia II has made me wait 8 years!

Hold on, why am I worrying whether or not this will come out on the 360? By the time it's out, the PS3 will be a pittance to buy!
