Nintendo announces new Wiimote, DSi colors for North America

According to the presser, "The Black bundle is the first new color for the Wii Remote and Wii MotionPlus," so let's hope this means a rainbow of colors coming down the pipeline next year. Right now this has nothing to go with, especially since the Wii won't be available in black over here, only in Japan. No mention of new console colors, nor of the blue Wiimote, seen recently at the World Hobby Fair. Will this be a case of having to chase down colors and accessories in different regions?
Nintendo is also bringing new DSi colors to North America, in the form of pink and white, available starting September 13. So we'll now have black, blue, white, and pink DSi ... why no funky colors like Japan? They get all the cool stuff.

That's not the best shade of pink, at all, at least in my opinion. Though I suppose it'll look different in person. The DS Lite colors were much better, though I suppose it doesn't matter to me since if I got a replacement for my electric blue phat...it would be a DS Lite.

Black controllers but no black console is remarkably ridiculous however. Just asinine. It's easy money for N, so I don't get why they don't do it.

I like dark colors,that way people can't notice the dirt.
It it would be too much to ask for a kit to clean those things,I have been using the kit I use to clean my Ray-ban glasses for my Wii and X360 and while they get the job done,sort of,an official kit would be good.

maybe i'll start getting wii motes now for when i get a new one for the holidays. i just wish nintendo had an official rechargeable solution so they would match and worked with the sleeve.

The Sanyo Eneloop is the only one licensed by Nintendo... is a conductive charger, but I think is Japan only, I'm not sure:

I'm not the type to buy some new color console/controller when I already own one, but these are pretty cool. If I didn't already own a Wii and enough controllers I would buy the black ones, they look pretty neat. Would've preferred a elite/black 360 but too late :P Were they to offer a slim white PS3 at this point I'd likely pick that one, solely for the sake of continuity.
That's an odd shade of pink/magenta or whatever it is, though...
