Having released today on Xbox 360, and with three days to go until it drops on PC for North American retailers, Section 8 has only a few scant opportunities for a pre-release volley of teaser materials. The latest assault is a new trailer and a couple images for the shooter.
Don't let the lack of hype for the title fool you; fans of objective-based multiplayer should definitely try out the demo, which doles out a taste of the game's dynamic mission system. Oh, and it has jetpacks. Everyone likes those, right? Drop into a game and check it out.
This may be a little off topic but I work at Walmart and I'm almost sure they have this on the shelf already. It isn't supposed to be released till the 4th right?
This releases later this week? I saw this at a couple Targets (Arlington Heights, Miller Park) today and had no idea what it was. Did this game just come out of left field? I haven't seen any updates on it... but it seems like I should pick it up.
Look, I'm serious. So fuck off. I'm not trying to sound smart, I'm trying to give advice. Being foolish with your money is serious. My brother took on so much debt and spent his money foolishly, and you know what happened? He tried to kill himself. I'm not trying to preach and I'm sorry if I came off as condescending, I'm hust offering some advice.
especially one that seems like a Halo ripoff? Halo: ODST is orbital drop shock trooper, and what do these guys do?? drop from orbit--although they do it wrong, every ODST knows the motto "feet first". ; ) the multiplayer demo was alright, but my money is definitely going to Bungie's Halo: ODST.
Halo didn't make up the drop trooper. Warhammer did it ages ago, and way before that, in the fifties, Starship Troopers (the novel) did it. The fact that Section 8 and ODST are coming out in the same month is an interesting coincidence, but neither is ripping off the other. Besides, the play style will be very different.
I got the game and while the campaign isn't anything to brag about the multiplayer component might be fun. Ive havnt had a chance to play online (cause the servers weren't up) but the instant action was fun with the maps pretty diverse.
the part where it went slow-mo was so anti-climactic. he just pushed the other guy, i was expecting some frontflips, into some ground rolls and then he knifes a guy.
From the makers of shit half-assed FEAR expansions comes a new Sci-Fi game that pushes the boundaries of average and achieves that of beige. The next great shooter everyone may consider renting but never get around to it is here! Are you ready?
This game is just horrible I played it and didn't like it what so ever nothing jumped out of this game to say its good. If you like good games then stay away from this one. Its release date for the 360 was the 1st and has been stated that on every website but this one for the last few weeks
So I bought this today. And if the game was half as good as the trailer I wouldn't have already tried to take it back to Gamestop today. The multiplayer has some interesting dynamic objectives that keep the game moving at a nice pace, but the singleplayer is so fucking boring!
Hmmmm..... South Peak Games..... haunted by major fail of Two Worlds..... and did it not come to thier knowledge that "Section 8" is also the coding for low-income housing in the US?
Sry to break it to you but SOMEBODY has to tell it. I myself is a Gamestop employee and YES it's ALREADY OUT "WITHOUT" street date violations. Since August 27th. This title must be the worst "Scheduled Released" Epic fail in my history as a human. For all who want facts, I can show u evidence if u like lol.
Please stop, GameStop employees have it hard enough on this site without you making us look almo-, halfw-, damnne-, fucking retarded.
What he's trying to say is true though, we (GameStop) have been selling this game since the 27th/28th. I don't know if the company got permission to release it early but I think I've sold maybe 2 copies in the past week? Probably because no one knew it was released early.
Played the demo for literally 40 seconds, or the time it took to parachute in, thought to myself, "hey this looks just like UT3 with the Battlefield map!", then promptly quit.
I can't comprehend how this game made it to stores. Not saying it's crap, just saying no one's going to buy it.
I've heard JUST the PC versions are on the September 4th from my manager at the Gamestop Conference. But just kill the rumor.....it's FACT and it's in stores NOW lol.
