Assassin's Creed 2 trailer is the most violent music video ever

This trailer is kind of radical. Much like a serial killer gyrating on a neon-lit dance floor, Ubisoft's latest Assassin's Creed 2 gameplay footage places inconspicuous murder at the center of an infectious beat. We didn't think it was possible, but the anachronistic music video actually makes new protagonist Ezio seem ... almost hip.

Also, we think he actually stabs a hip during the video.

Agreed. Justice is bomb.

But I do think it is an odd choice for a game so rooted in a historical time period. It's a similar (mis)fit to the weird affair Dragon Age: Origins has with nu metal.

Yes, I remember the time I traveled back in time through MY genetic memory jogging machine. This song should be more historically accurate to the date in which animi became commonly used, which must have been some time before July 12, 2007...

Sweet French dance music for a French game. This game is a must play for me.

How about Crookers for the next trailer to fit the Italian setting ;)

haha do not look up miami horror...It's a trap!...if you want good aussie electro go look up The Presets, The Potbelleez, or Pendulum. Pendulum is already in tons of games

I know I did. This is highly reminiscent of the Assassin's Creed 1 trailer that had Lonely Soul from unkle. That trailer also kicked ass.

in case anyone is wondering, the song is called "Genesis" by Justice from the album Cross.

YES! Genesis is such a good song.

That video is pure, unadulterated, tasty awesome. This is a must-buy. I may have to clone myself to properly take in all the awesome that is hitting this Fall.

Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that their could be a collaboration between Assassins Creed and Justice...

I kind of wish they would have used "Stress" though...

In my opinion, Stress is the worst song of the album and it's the only one that I don't like. Too much noise, I guess that the song does 'stress' me.

But have you seen the music video? It just makes the song feel so badass! In my opinion the worst song was "Tthhee Ppaaarrttyy," but I think that's because I can't stand Uffie.

It's got a certain ring to it, but I understand why many people don't like the voice.

I've already seen the music video but I still don't like the song. The video IS badass though, I think it even caused quite a stir in France due to all the past riots there.

I seem to remember being swayed to buy Prince of Persia simply because of two trailers that used music by Sia and Sigur Ros.
Clearly someone at Ubisoft's trailer-making-department has good taste in music... and a lot of money for licensing costs.

OK, game just went up a few notches on my buy meter... Now I have to go buy a new buy meter to replace this broken one

Fight Club wasn't really all that violent. I think only one dude actually died in the movie. If my memory serves me, his name was Robert Paulson.

actually the music video to justice's other song "stress" is pretty damn violent, and a hell of a lot more disturbing.

That video just screams badass, I remember I got a job at a clothing store just so I could get a leather jacket with my employee discount. Then after buying it, I figured I would take it to a monogram store just so I could get the cross on my jacket, just like the teens in the video.

Wow. I am very excited about Assassins Creed 2! The part where the armored guy breaks Ezio's staff and he looks at and just says, "Oh, what the hell." GREAT!

and then he stabs him! Awesome.

I half expected Ezio to pull up in a Scion xB when this video started.

I expected him to start the thriller dance.

was this song used in a scion commercial? I dont listen to techno but it sounds really familiar
