> Wiimote-pointing didn't work for me...

Same with many other who tried Okami on Wii. Me included.

Drawing a straight line with WiiMote is not so easy as some might think. Drawing anything with WiiMote is complicated: it is held unnaturally for writing/drawing. Compare how one holds a pen - and how WiiMote is held.

It's very, very much like Zelda. If you like Zelda, you'll probably like this.

I hope they add a cup filled with ink on the top screen to mimic the one found in the original.

Hmm...that's the first time I've been downvoted...I guess I need to start labeling my "sarcastic" comments. I plan on buying Scribblenauts on the 15th and honestly...why would you take anything refering to the PSP as the PP or the DS or the BS...those weren't even funny.

It's basically Zelda with a dog (actually, Zelda did that last time anyhow) but not quite as good and with a stupid combat system. (When you go up to an opponent it enters a sort of separate combat mode. It feels more like a 'real' RPG, which is a bad thing in my book; but it's not turn-based or anything, just odd arcadey fights. The weapons are really weird. It's generally annoying, but although it's harder than recent Zeldas, it's still not very hard so if you buttonmash you'll probably be okay. Bosses are present, but not as good as Zelda bosses.)

On the plus side, the drawing-spells mechanic is really cool when it works. On the minus side, the Wii version of this is stupidly bad at recognising what you draw. Hopefully the DS will be better.

Basically as for the Wii version, if you like Zelda you should probably get it. Don't expect it will be better; it's more original for sure, as you'd kind of expect from it being Okami 1 rather than Zelda 74, but not as good. 'Not as good as Zelda' still leaves it being a great game though.

I don't know about this DS one - DS games with first-person 3D often strike me as a bad idea but on the other hand, it's perfect for painting... I guess I'll wait for reviews.

That was the point of my joke...there are idiots on the internet that think they're "too hardcore" for handhelds. I thought the lame jokes, lame reasons, and the fact that I clearly stated I had no friends would show I was speaking sarcasticly...

Now it's downvoted...

Unless I'm wrong, the only games that you should see that'll be DSi only should be DSiWare. I doubt making a full-sized game use the little advantages of the DSi over the DS is worth alienating a huge market from buying the game.

Basically, as a game it's better suited for the wii, but was done better on the ps2. The Wii version is still fantastic, but fell short of its maximum potential while the ps2 version was about as good as it could have been.

It's like Zelda, but fun. I'm not trying to be cute or anything, but if I wanted to push boxes around for hours I would have become a repo man.
