Looking forward to Heart Gold and Soul Silver a lot.
This, not so much. Without even having connectivity to the DS games, I don't really see any reason to go near this. Ranch was worth it just for the Mew, but this doesn't have any appeal at all.
Tiptup300 @ Sep 3rd 2009 11:56AM
Behold the true power of the Wii!
sony boy (6 years til sony man child!) @ Sep 3rd 2009 11:30AM
what platform?? i've seen a video made by uuton once and looks fun
braeburn @ Sep 3rd 2009 12:26PM
Seriously. How do you publish a story about a new game and not mention the platform?
Vidikron @ Sep 3rd 2009 12:31PM
Are you guys being serious? The WiiWare logo at the start didn't clue you in to the platform? Or are you asking something else?
giantenemycrab @ Sep 3rd 2009 2:33PM
Hey, it is possible the Sony is making a Pokemon game for the PS3 and their new logo is the WiiWare logo. Think outside the box, man.
TakeCTRL @ Sep 3rd 2009 7:32PM
and the wii controller in the video didn't give you a hint either?
Rhamsey @ Sep 3rd 2009 11:36AM
I do love me some pokemons.
Me @ Sep 3rd 2009 11:40AM
This looks like the ds could run it.
Derick @ Sep 3rd 2009 7:29PM
This is what I thought. It looks like it runs in the Zelda: Phantom Hourglass engine.
David [Steam: ZayCube] @ Sep 3rd 2009 11:42AM
It looks like crap
mr nimblewick @ Sep 3rd 2009 11:45AM
Stupid PAX and their sold-out tickets.
Stteevvveee @ Sep 3rd 2009 11:47AM
Hmm, WiiWare... thats kinda like 360's arcade games right? Probably be a 10/15/20 dollar game.
Well if you like pokemon a lot I guess you will go ape shit over this :)
RDX @ Sep 3rd 2009 11:49AM
Man do I get nostalgic when I see the original 151 Pokemon, especially Bulbasaur and the Eevee evolutions. I was a big fan of those elemental pooches back in the day.
As far as this game? Looks...cute? That's about it.
CaramelZappa @ Sep 3rd 2009 11:50AM
Robotic pokemon?
gayboyDS @ Sep 3rd 2009 11:51AM
This sounds like the Mr. Sparkle commercial!
Blank-Mage @ Sep 3rd 2009 11:57AM
Leave it to Japan to invent hundreds of bizarre super powered animals, a setting wherein they battle for fun and profit, a series of series based on the adventures of trainers of said animals, and then turning the whole thing into mecha anyway.
Blank-Mage @ Sep 3rd 2009 11:57AM
I hate that I love them.
BryanKinkel @ Sep 3rd 2009 11:59AM
I will only buy this if it comes with a Japanese announcer yelling the play by play.
Mr Khan @ Sep 3rd 2009 12:08PM
I'm just surprised that it's a Nintendo-published WiiWare game. They've really not shown much initiative in that arena themselves, despite the fact that the service has done quite well for itself otherwise (mostly due to the Nicalis, High Voltage, 2D Boy, and Hudson support)
Mr Khan @ Sep 3rd 2009 12:10PM
Also: I'd really wish they'd announce a date for Spirit Tracks already. Rumor out of the GameStop Managers' Convention (where the date for Wii Fit + and confirmation of the newer colors came from) is that NSMBWii is Nov 2nd, or 3rd, and i really want Spirit Tracks to be in October, and time runs short...
Faceman @ Sep 3rd 2009 12:25PM
well this was long overdue
Yan @ Sep 3rd 2009 12:57PM
This looks like a simple, amusing multiplayer title. I'll be sure to play.
Snowblind @ Sep 3rd 2009 1:04PM
My problem is that it's on the level of the minigames that were included in the Stadium titles. And at least there you could bring in your own Pokemon. Asking $15 for this is a bit much.
Why not just give us a new Stadium game, instead of stripping the game down and selling all these extra minigames and Pokemon storage utilities as seperate games?
bongoes the Black Lantern @ Sep 3rd 2009 1:02PM
I just wish they would stop using those models from Pokemon Ranch. At least try to make them a little more detailed, please.
apzags001 @ Sep 3rd 2009 2:17PM
We all feel your pain, dood. Given the sheer number of Pokemon present at once in Ranch, they needed the low-key models to keep from overtaxing video memory. I take it that same principle applies here.
As for everyone asking for a new Stadium game, yeah, we'd kinda like something that's more filling than Battle Revolution. Orre on Wii or something similar, perhaps?
Mr Khan @ Sep 3rd 2009 3:32PM
Not so much overtaxing video memory as hitting their very low 43 MB size limitation for WiiWare games.
nriveraexpress @ Sep 3rd 2009 3:10PM
lol wtf!?
Lurkero @ Sep 3rd 2009 3:26PM
This is not what I imagined when I said that Nintendo should release a real Pokemon fighting game
SoshiKitai @ Sep 3rd 2009 5:41PM
Yeah, I know...
I totally imagined it with some hot chick.
... no wait, I think Torchic is there, nevermind.
Matias @ Sep 3rd 2009 4:29PM
Aaaaah the old pokemon, reminds me of my childhood, the first 151 were the best ones (I still conserve all my pokemon toys, cards, etc), too bad they ran out of originality with the pokemons after G/S/C.
The game looks fun, and if I can play using old pokemons, and provided it's not too expensive for what it is, I may play it.
Juande [Xylon Uxkid] @ Sep 3rd 2009 4:48PM
Woooo!! Its coming to US! Looks pretty fun.
SoshiKitai @ Sep 3rd 2009 5:39PM
Anything that takes Pokemon out of menu-based battles is cool with me!
... I loved Pokemon, and thought the menu-battles were cool... but seriously, I'm getting quite tired of it.
...let's just have a Super Smash Pokemon...
...Street Pokemon? O_o
Gnoll @ Sep 3rd 2009 6:39PM
Can we have the arcade game instead? I'd really prefer to not have to move to Japan.
cookiemonsters_cat @ Sep 3rd 2009 7:20PM
why have they not made a Pokemon MMO yet?
SoshiKitai @ Sep 4th 2009 12:19AM
Because it could technically make normal console-versions completely obsolete...
...Monster Rancher became an MMO. Ever since then, not a single traditional Monster Rancher game has been made.
A Pokemon MMO that follows the same traditional rules except turned MMO could make any future traditional releases be rather... dull.
crazypenguin @ Sep 3rd 2009 7:27PM
its interesting to me! its like a real time pokemon battle, instead of the turn based that it usually is. i've always wondered what it would be like to actually dodge an attack like they did in the tv show. they should try to implement the tactics from the show into a game more.

Can't wait to get this on my Wii, I got a chance to try an imported version on a friend's Japanese Wii, and even not being able to really understand anything that was going on, I had an absolute blast!
creativeemi @ Nov 19th 2009 12:44AM
The Pokemon Rumble has better graphics even better than Pokemon Ranch, it seems to retain the style of its big brother, however, to differ with the emergence of new gameplay elements. game takes advantage of the WiiConnect24 system. Another mode called Battle Royal, where you will achieve the same kind of games in a closed arena. You unlock progressively as fighting other Pokemon and collect coins that allow you to unlock others, but also to buy new technology. In order to participate in the Battle Royal you need certain strength for more see here http://www.techarena.in/guide/17973-pokemon-rumble-walkthrough-tips-cheats.htm
