Even if you can't make it out to Seattle for the Penny Arcade Expo this weekend, you can show some solidarity with the new selection of Penny Arcade gear that's now available on the Xbox Live Marketplace for a buck per shirt. In addition to the stars' trademark looks, you'll also find some clothing inspired by the strip's secondary characters.
Also, just FYI, we came up with a pretty hilarious gag about PAX standing for Penny Arcade eXploitation that we weren't able to work in. All apologies.
[Thanks, Jimmcq]

Am I misinterpreting the symbol or is it saying that the Tycho shirt is a female shirt?

Though I'd still love to hear Tycho explain this one, >:) it's worth noting that all of the shirts except the Wombat come in both male and female varieties. Which, frankly, is how I think it should be. I realize it's extra work to do two versions of an outfit, but it bugs me to no end when I find a piece of Avatar gear I like and then realize I can't wear it because of an arbitrary gender designation, even if the clothing isn't strongly-gendered. Kudos to PA for running this gig right.

I wonder if Namco gets a cut off that shirt. Or is it just parody with a hint of profit?

80 MS Points is the prices we should be seeing more of for Avatar Clothing.
Some items are just way overpriced as cool as they are (Such as the Lightsaber)

CTC would you like to be payed to play their games as well seeing as you freinds list see the games you play therefore your advertising their game...
heck i dont know where you came with : we should be payed for wearing their avatar clothes seeing as we're advertising their game
the avatar (brought a couple of items with spare microsoft points) and games on demand service are there for your choosing
(ive already brought need for speed most wanted and lego star wars the complete saga from that service mainly because i cant find those games in the game stores i go to)
no ones pointing a gun at your head telling you to buy this stuff are they..
its up to you if you want to buy it... if you dont want it dont buy it
and i know some of its overpriced... did you forget the items are taking up server space and licensing issues not to mention the developers of the games want some money as well... thats why games on demand is at retail price for the classics range (well it is in the uk £19.99)
im prob gonna get downvoted for having my opinion

Yes, but they are teabagging my face with their johnsons every time I turn on my console.
I've been a mild MS fanboy this gen, but I'll be damned if I buy my next console without making absolutely sure that I'm not subjecting myself to constant begging to spend money on nothing.

I'd actually consider the Tycho shirt I think. A convenience if nothing else, finally somewhere to put those 80 points I've had for 4 years, unable to find something to toss them away on.

Yes everyone should stop complaining cause ya know god forbid they listen to us and actually start giving out the clothing for free.

How do you know its not gonna happen? Only sure way to know nothing will happen is to give up like a coward which you seem to think is the best option.

They see they can take advantage of you and next they charge you based on the amount of fun you have.

If people don't voice an opinion, then they will feel that we are happy and satisfied with paying the price of real clothes for virtual clothing--in a recession. If you have kids, then it's even more ridiculous.
And if they get no complaints, I'm 100% sure you'll see an avatar clothing price inflation just like the "summer of arcade" games.

When is Joystiq gonna release a Moses parting the red sea yelling "6.0" t-shirt for my avatar? That is what I want.

Wow, you must be a pretty sad individual if you're willing to pay money for an Avatar t-shirt.
I can see the appeal of buying clothing based on games like the Gears of War, Mass Effect, etc outfits, even though they are overpriced, and should be offered as a free bonus/incentive to play/complete said games.
However, I can't see the appeal in paying for something that is nothing more than paying to advertise for a company you have no stake in. Even if you look at it as supporting a favorite website, should the website support it's fan's by offering the merchandise for free? Or, Why couldn't they offer these shirts for free for those gamers who bought their XBLA games? The website wouldn't be where it is if it wasn't for the fans showing support, and now it's looking for money in this way? Just slightly shady!

it would be shady if the offered to sell them to you in a dark alley, this is just price gouging.

You don't know. There are a lot of people that would pay money for anything that gets them closer to jocking Gabe and Tycho
