We knew that an Xbox Live Arcade
Bust-a-Move/Puzzle Bobble game was coming -- both from an
ESRB rating and the fact that the WiiWare version is already out -- but today, Taito officially revealed
Puzzle Bobble Live for XBLA. It looks identical to the Wii's
Bust-a-Move Plus, with the exception of online play, and the use of Avatars in Endless Mode. The game will have the same extra DLC; three stage packs containing stages from previous
Puzzle Bobble games.
Puzzle Bobble Live will be out September 30 in Japan for 800
. Taito had no comment about North American or European releases.

XBLA titles are pretty much guaranteed a simultaneous release in most regions, I wouldn't worry about it.

I've already had a bunch of versions of this game, and I'll get it for xbla, but only if there is an option NOT to have avatars on screen.
And yes, I know some of you love avatars and I don't care. I can't stand them. It may be foolish, but x360 avatars are the main reason I rarely use my 360, and buy all multiplatform games for PS3.

Yes! Japan got "Bubble Bobble Neo!" instead of TMNT during Summer of Arcade. http://www.xbox.com/ja-JP/livearcade/summerofarcade09/ Now they get "Puzzle Bobble Live!". What's going on?
