I'm getting it all...except AFI
GH3 killed that song for me
Young_Nastyman @ Sep 4th 2009 12:05PM
and it wasn't exactly in my good graces before GH3 either
The Baron @ Sep 4th 2009 12:18PM
I kind of like the guitar riff, but it's a bit predictable in everything else.
Tiptup300 @ Sep 4th 2009 12:51PM
AUDIOSLAVE!
Young_Nastyman @ Sep 4th 2009 12:57PM
YEAH!!! Gasoline is such an awesome song too. All we need is some of Chris's solo stuff *COUGH*youknowmyname*COUGH* and I'll be very very happy
bongoes the Black Lantern @ Sep 4th 2009 12:07PM
When The Beatles: Rock Band DLC starts coming out, will it be included in this post or separate?
CTC XBL-supapaypamawio PSN-ctclaw @ Sep 4th 2009 12:12PM
Once again I find a week of Rock Band DLC more interesting than a month of GH DLC.
tmacairjordan87 @ Sep 4th 2009 12:13PM
Guitar Hero had a whole month of DLC worse than this? That's pretty bad.
VaultBoy @ Sep 4th 2009 12:26PM
That's generally true, but this month GH has the stones. We'll have to see next month.
CTC XBL-supapaypamawio PSN-ctclaw @ Sep 4th 2009 12:36PM
True, I forgot the stones were coming this month since it was just briefly mentioned in the GH article yesterday. Still, that's an entire MONTH of GH DLC. We still have 3 more weeks of RB DLC this week.
Young_Nastyman @ Sep 4th 2009 12:46PM
Those stones songs are pretty meh to me, so this does beat GH's Month for me
MowDownJoe @ Sep 4th 2009 12:13PM
ALLL WEEE WANNA DO IS EAT YOUR BRAINS!
God, glad for more JoCo. Now, I'm guessing we're going to see Code Monkey this time next year?
VaultBoy @ Sep 4th 2009 12:29PM
I would have expected that to be the FIRST track they put out next to "Still Alive".
tmacairjordan87 @ Sep 4th 2009 12:16PM
Every week that goes by now without Harmonix adding This Day We Fight by Megadeth, is an automatic failure.

HazyCloud @ Sep 4th 2009 12:18PM
http://www.rockband.com/request
The Baron @ Sep 4th 2009 12:38PM
I just put in about ten requests for Rush and Pink Floyd, so I've effectively cancelled out your Megadeths >:D
tmacairjordan87 @ Sep 4th 2009 12:43PM
You could put in 1000 requests and it would still be useless. People on their forums have been begging for master of puppets forever now and we still don't even have the song, let alone the whole album.
HazyCloud @ Sep 4th 2009 1:08PM
@ tmacairjordan87
I wouldn't say useless. Dave Mustaine has said he wants more stuff in Rock Band. If the artist is cool with it and the fans want it, there's a good chance it's coming.
T @ Sep 4th 2009 1:15PM
Oh great...you're one of THOSE people that thinks getting songs in Rock Band is as easy as "I ask for it, they give it to me." Which ignores the whole part where they need to reach an agreement with the rights holders.
Not to mention that there's millions of people that want their favorites in Rock Band "nao" all claiming the same thing.
Eh @ Sep 4th 2009 1:25PM
It doesnt matter if the band is fine with their songs being in Rock Band, the popular songs cost more and Rock Band tends to be really cheap when it comes to DLC.
T @ Sep 4th 2009 1:53PM
Cheap? Cheap?!
I'm sorry if you don't consider 3 Doors Down, Audioslave, AFI, or The Jackson 5 to be on the same calibur as the Bumfuck Whatever Social Club that's coming out for that other game next week. But in case you haven't noticed, Harmonix (with help from EA I'd guess) shelled out the dough for The Beatles.
So don't give me that "cheap" crap. Not when they've got over 700 DLC songs from hundreds of big name bands comparred to what we see from GH's weakly offerings.
The Baron @ Sep 4th 2009 2:58PM
He means that they only charge $2 and some licencees are a bit pissier than that..
KeenCommander @ Sep 4th 2009 12:17PM
Great to see two more tracks I'd actually buy - Less Talk More Rokk and Science Genius Girl - but I'm still kind of disappointed that Rock Band isn't getting more, faster. If you don't listen to x particular type of music, there's really not a lot on there for you.
CTC XBL-supapaypamawio PSN-ctclaw @ Sep 4th 2009 12:41PM
Just be glad you aren't waiting for GH DLC...3 songs a week.
KeenCommander @ Sep 4th 2009 5:57PM
Yeah, well, that's only because my brother has the lame PS2 versions of World Tour, Metallica, and Smash Hits which don't even give you the option. And suck.
uncle jesse @ Sep 4th 2009 12:17PM
You KNOW that ABC is going to get the party started!
VaultBoy @ Sep 4th 2009 12:32PM
The bottom section are just Unplugged songs that hadn't made it to the main game yet.
uncle jesse @ Sep 4th 2009 12:35PM
Ummm, what are you talking about?
CTC XBL-supapaypamawio PSN-ctclaw @ Sep 4th 2009 12:42PM
He's talking about how the bottom section of the songs are songs that were originally in RB Unplugged.
Marek Hryc @ Sep 4th 2009 12:49PM
I've been waiting for this to be released on the Store since I bought Uplugged!
Now just waiting for the Snoop Dogg songs......
uncle jesse @ Sep 4th 2009 12:54PM
@CTC
Oh, okay. Sure, I guess. I don't care.....
IT'S EASY AS 1 2 3!
Harold Burnett @ Sep 5th 2009 2:09PM
Hell yes .I cannot wait for more MJ goodness.
garnsr @ Sep 4th 2009 12:21PM
Finally, Re: Your Brains! This should have been in there a long time ago. And Science Genius Girl in Frequency and Less Talk in Guitar Hero 2 got me into Freezepop. Awesome!
Rax Dakkar @ Sep 4th 2009 2:40PM
I too have been waiting a long time for this song. Glad to see it's only a 1$ as well!
sonicspike41 @ Sep 4th 2009 5:17PM
Now if only they'd let you use a PS3/360 controller for the guitars I'd be sold. Playing them on controller in GH2 was awesome. Oh well, here's hoping RB3 finds a way to include support.
Yan @ Sep 4th 2009 12:29PM
More Freezepop is always welcome.
TexRob @ Sep 4th 2009 12:52PM
I concur, some of the most fun songs to play, even if it's not your #1 choice of music. For example, not a huge Boston fan, but holy hell if More than a Feeling isn't one of the most fun songs to play on drums.
Kevin @ Sep 4th 2009 12:34PM
Still sorely missing from Rock Band games:
Led Zeppelin
Sevendust
Deftones
311
Incubus
Chevelle
...feel free to add more.
Neuromancer @ Sep 4th 2009 12:38PM
Led Zeppelin -> never going to happen
I wish it would though
CTC XBL-supapaypamawio PSN-ctclaw @ Sep 4th 2009 12:44PM
I'd love some Incubus and 311. I'm surprised we haven't seen any yet, it would have been good marketing for both of their summer tours.
Hydrophobicfish (PSN: HydrophobicFish) @ Sep 4th 2009 12:47PM
Neuromancer lies not.
Led Zeplin is scared of flashy lights and rigmarole associated with technology.
That, and they're afraid of their masters getting ruined.
Kevin @ Sep 4th 2009 12:51PM
Yeah, CTC.
We'd get some seriously skilled drum playing, too. Both drummers are insane.
Indefinite Implosion @ Sep 4th 2009 12:59PM
MORE MUSE!
Also, more NIN and hey, why don't they throw some Arctic Monkeys, The Kooks, Editors, Pigeon Detectives and some more songs from The Fratellis.
Alton Brown [ XBL: LordToastington, Soon-To-Be-PSN: OrIsItAltonBrown] @ Sep 4th 2009 1:07PM
Clapton or Iron Butterfly would be great. Although the only Iron Butterfly song anyone would want would be In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida.
VaultBoy @ Sep 4th 2009 1:07PM
My tastes are all over the place but here goes:
Pennywise
NoFx
Angel City Outcasts (Let it Ride album)
Jimi Hendrix (can't happen for legal reasons)
Iced Earth
U2
Sublime
Flogging Molly
Ozzy Osbourne
Steve Vai
Joe Satriani
Suicidal Tendencies
Sex Pistols
Pink Floyd
More:
Bullet for My Valentine
Black Sabbath
Bad Religion
Ramones
Black Tide
Green Day (the old stuff)
And I'm sure I'll remember a few after this posting...
VaultBoy @ Sep 4th 2009 1:12PM
Oh yeah, what about a Primus pack? They were one of the first bands to release master tracks to GH back when HMX had control over it:
Jerry the Race Car driver
Electric Uncle Sam
Tommy the Cat
Make it happen!
Alton Brown [ XBL: LordToastington, Soon-To-Be-PSN: OrIsItAltonBrown] @ Sep 4th 2009 1:22PM
Also ZZ Top and Huey Lewis and the News' "Power of Love".
Konrad @ Sep 4th 2009 1:23PM
In addition to Incubus, Deftones & all the ones indefinite implosion mentioned (except Muse), Minus The Bear & Lostprophets. I would totally buy whole albums for all of them (except Light Grenades & the second Fratellis CD), not just track packs.
Dan Davis @ Sep 4th 2009 2:39PM
A PInk Floyd pack would be an instant best-seller.
Can you imagine if they put DSOTM on there???

I don't usually do this, but OMG Joystiq, we need to talk about this stuff:

Those are some pretty big pieces of news for Engadget to let loose before you guys!
