GH3 killed that song for me

I kind of like the guitar riff, but it's a bit predictable in everything else.

When The Beatles: Rock Band DLC starts coming out, will it be included in this post or separate?

Once again I find a week of Rock Band DLC more interesting than a month of GH DLC.

Guitar Hero had a whole month of DLC worse than this? That's pretty bad.

That's generally true, but this month GH has the stones. We'll have to see next month.

True, I forgot the stones were coming this month since it was just briefly mentioned in the GH article yesterday. Still, that's an entire MONTH of GH DLC. We still have 3 more weeks of RB DLC this week.

Every week that goes by now without Harmonix adding This Day We Fight by Megadeth, is an automatic failure.

I just put in about ten requests for Rush and Pink Floyd, so I've effectively cancelled out your Megadeths >:D

You could put in 1000 requests and it would still be useless. People on their forums have been begging for master of puppets forever now and we still don't even have the song, let alone the whole album.

@ tmacairjordan87

I wouldn't say useless. Dave Mustaine has said he wants more stuff in Rock Band. If the artist is cool with it and the fans want it, there's a good chance it's coming.

Oh great...you're one of THOSE people that thinks getting songs in Rock Band is as easy as "I ask for it, they give it to me." Which ignores the whole part where they need to reach an agreement with the rights holders.

Not to mention that there's millions of people that want their favorites in Rock Band "nao" all claiming the same thing.

It doesnt matter if the band is fine with their songs being in Rock Band, the popular songs cost more and Rock Band tends to be really cheap when it comes to DLC.

Cheap? Cheap?!

I'm sorry if you don't consider 3 Doors Down, Audioslave, AFI, or The Jackson 5 to be on the same calibur as the Bumfuck Whatever Social Club that's coming out for that other game next week. But in case you haven't noticed, Harmonix (with help from EA I'd guess) shelled out the dough for The Beatles.

So don't give me that "cheap" crap. Not when they've got over 700 DLC songs from hundreds of big name bands comparred to what we see from GH's weakly offerings.

Great to see two more tracks I'd actually buy - Less Talk More Rokk and Science Genius Girl - but I'm still kind of disappointed that Rock Band isn't getting more, faster. If you don't listen to x particular type of music, there's really not a lot on there for you.

Now if only they'd let you use a PS3/360 controller for the guitars I'd be sold. Playing them on controller in GH2 was awesome. Oh well, here's hoping RB3 finds a way to include support.

I concur, some of the most fun songs to play, even if it's not your #1 choice of music. For example, not a huge Boston fan, but holy hell if More than a Feeling isn't one of the most fun songs to play on drums.

Led Zeppelin
Sevendust
Deftones
311
Incubus
Chevelle

...feel free to add more.

Neuromancer lies not.

Led Zeplin is scared of flashy lights and rigmarole associated with technology.
That, and they're afraid of their masters getting ruined.

My tastes are all over the place but here goes:
Pennywise
NoFx
Angel City Outcasts (Let it Ride album)
Jimi Hendrix (can't happen for legal reasons)
Iced Earth
U2
Sublime
Flogging Molly
Ozzy Osbourne
Steve Vai
Joe Satriani
Suicidal Tendencies
Sex Pistols
Pink Floyd

More:
Bullet for My Valentine
Black Sabbath
Bad Religion
Ramones
Black Tide
Green Day (the old stuff)

And I'm sure I'll remember a few after this posting...

Oh yeah, what about a Primus pack? They were one of the first bands to release master tracks to GH back when HMX had control over it:

Jerry the Race Car driver
Electric Uncle Sam
Tommy the Cat

Make it happen!

In addition to Incubus, Deftones & all the ones indefinite implosion mentioned (except Muse), Minus The Bear & Lostprophets. I would totally buy whole albums for all of them (except Light Grenades & the second Fratellis CD), not just track packs.
