If it feels like there's been
a lot of game conventions lately ... well, that'd be absolutely right.
GamesCom and
BlizzCon occurred at the same time a couple weeks back, with PAX going on this weekend in Seattle and, finally, Tokyo Game Show in a few weeks. Tis the convention season. Check out all our
PAX coverage over the weekend for the latest info on the games we should have in our Doritos encrusted hands this holiday -- or
Q1 2010. What's everyone playing this weekend?
- Alexander Sliwinski (@XanderSliwinski): Arkham Asylum on "Hard." Such an excellent game. Completed all the Predator challenges with full batarangs, but it doesn't appear I have the skills to get three batarangs on the fighting challenges.
- Andrew Yoon (@scxzor): Nah nah nah nah nah nah nah ... BATMAN!!!! Nah nah nah nah nah nah nah...
Oh, and Borderlands.
- Ben Gilbert (@BigBossBgilbert): Finishing up this Batman simulator and delving into the ten millionth Guitar Hero game. Elliott Smith! Kings of Leon! Hooray!
- Christopher Grant (@ChrisGrant): [Trying to solve The Riddler's puzzles.]
- David Hinkle (@DaveHinkle): [On a date with Harley Quinn]
- Dustin Burg (@SuperDunner): Traveling and doing the PAX thing.
- Griffin McElroy (@griffinmcelroy): I'll be playing all the cool games that won't be out for another week! You are so jealous. What? You aren't?
- James Ransom-Wiley: You will not stump me Riddler!
- JC Fletcher (@jcfletcher): I've heard that a copy of Muramasa: The Demon Blade is on its way to me. So, uh, maybe I'll check that incredibly gorgeous game out.
- Justin McElroy (@JustinMcElroy): I'm going to be playing Champions Online and with Griffin in Seattle, I need a team. Add suttsteve@justinmcelroy or HG Wells@justinmcelroy and lets FIGHT SOME CRIME. (And yes, HG Wells was a super hero. Everybody knows that.)
- Kevin Kelly (@gadgetguy): I'm heading to PAXitania this weekend, so I'll be gaming on games still yet to come, including the exclusive "Room With Griffin".
- Ludwig Kietzmann (@LudwigK): Having completed Batman: Arkham Asylum, I'll continue the badass-in-a-suit trend by revisiting Samus in Metroid Prime Trilogy.
- Randy Nelson (@DangerPenguin): A little song, a little dance, playing the Batman game in my comfy pants? That, and I'll probably stare at the Japanese PS Store's dynamic Afrika XMB theme for far too long. (But it's SO pretty!)
- Richard Mitchell (@SenseiRAM): By the time you read this, I'll be at PAX, so I'll be abandoning all journalistic pursuits and playing Diablo III for approximately three days straight. Feel free to stop by and say hi. I'll be the guy that snaps at you when you try to take my mouse away. Oh, also, if you see Chris Grant, don't tell him where I am, okay?
