PAX 2009: More characters for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2

Okay, we jest. The ink still isn't dry on that contract yet, but we hope that future versions of this game will gave us some sort of Disney hint, even if it's just a Scrooge McDuck level where you have to swim through gold coins. All kidding aside, MUA2 has added Iceman to the PS3/360 version, while the Wii inexplicably gains the cooler characters of Cyclops, Psylocke, and Blade. Where's the justice?!

Yes, Marvel game looks good. But this is Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 so I don't know why you'd bring Marvel game into it. Clearly its not because you just glanced around, typed up random words that sorta have to do with the article; all so you could advertise your website which none of us will ever look at, clearly.

nah, just you watch. there will be DLC on PS3 and/or 360. Activision is in this business for money not pride. And I start not to believe in the word "exclusive" any more. Vader and Yoda exclusive to PS3 and 360? and many more Exclusive games going multi-platforms. I'm not complaining, it's good for us gamers this way.

Anyway, I think it's pathetic that we have to rely on and hope for PAYING for download content that might feature a character we really wanted to have in the game in the first place. Who here honestly wanted Storm? Some of these guys had little to no involvement in the whole Civil War storyline.
We better get some goddamn Nova in the game. Not DLC. In the fucking game. Damn right I'm pissed.

Remember back in the day when updates to old games included the old version hidden as an easter egg somewhere (like Prince of Persia Sands of Time including the original 2 PoP games or Ninja Gaiden including the original NES games). No longer. Think of the TMNT movie tie-in, it would have been perfect to include the arcade version in there. Instead it was a 5 dollar XBLA download.
Same thing happened with Bionic Commando. Actually, judging from the response, I'm glad it was separate, I saved myself 50 dollars ;)

Err, wha? I don't even like Cyclops, but I always thought he was a big part of the Marvel universe, at least in terms of history. To not have him on the main disc across all platforms just seems like a blatent bumrush for people's wallets. I love Deadpool, but if I'd be more understanding if he was DLC and Cyclops was in the game.
Then again, it seems as though him and Hulk were both omitted from the original MUA, so I guess that's just how the franchise rolls.

I'm with you. Activision made Cycolps such a myopic character. You had to waste talent points to make his focus beam or wide beam both more powerful. WTF! The source is the same and the googles are the same; they should both increased when you put points in one. Not that any of his other talents were of much use for him. That's why I hated him and never had him on my team.

Hulk and Cyclops (along w/ Nightcrawler, and some other guy) were available in the original MUA.....as DLC in the "Hero Pack"
Doctor Doom, Venom (!), Sabertooth, and Magneto were also in MUA in the "Villian Pack" DLC.
I know some of these characters are included off the bat this time, like the Hulk, but I'm sure some guys here, and probably a good number more that should have already been in the game, will be appearing in multiple DLC packs.

The other guy in the Hero Pack was Hawkeye. Cyclops was insanely powerful on MUA. His boucing beams were infamous.

I agree. Psylocke will be cool to play with. I'll be upset if the character roster is smaller in this sequel when compared to MUA. I really hope expansion, not contraction, is the premise here.

Damn it Cyclops is one of my favorite characters and he is on the wii only. DAMN you Activision probably gonna make it DLC that I will buy later that is already on disc because all the character have lines that fit in the story.

Yup, this is definitely an issue of DLC. Activision knows it won't make a dime with DLC on the Wii, but that's not the case with the 360/PS3. But as long as people keep paying for the DLC, why wouldn't they take advantadge of it?

Wow.. we get um.. Iceman.. and Wii gets 3 guys.. 2 are cool and one was only moderatly popular when the movie(s) came out. I'm sorry I'm a comicbook fan and well Ps3/360 just got owned. Guess we'll be seeing some DLC soon after the release. Just be curious if we'll be paying for each character or in a set. UGH!

what would be better is if on all console you had the opportunity to get all the same characters, and they should for this game have an X-Men pack of characters with characters such as: (Emma Frost, Rouge, Scarlet Witch,) with these three characters you can have Jean or storm and have a powerful X-men femme fatale as the three possible add on characters I suggested with Jean are considered as the most powerful mutants.
Also with X-men you can have Cyclops, Havok, magneto, Pyro, magma, jubilee, boom boom, dust, polaris and many others. which are a lot better than the last games offering of a lopt of characters whose abilities were mainly strength or weapon relates, such as Cap America, Luke cage, the thing, daredevil, elektra, on the X-box 360 you could get a pack of 8 extras 4 heroes 4 villains you got the hulk and sabre tooth in that you had to pay to get a green version of the thing.

It is totally weak how you can't play with friends who dont have juggernaut if you got him during pre order, there should have been a warning
