Rockstar's Agent sneaks into 2010 release window

Aside from the game's exclusivity to the PlayStation 3 and the logo you see above, we've seen little else about upcoming '70s espionage game Agent. But while answering some fan questions about next month's GTA IV expansion, The Ballad of Gay Tony, on its forums, Rockstar North mentions that it's "working hard on a lineup of PlayStation 3 releases for 2010 ... including Red Dead Redemption, Max Payne 3, and the PlayStation 3 exclusive AGENT."

The statement goes on to tease "yet to be announced" titles, possibly lending some credence to Michael Pachter's statements on another GTA game in the not- so-distant future. Considering Rockstar's statements were made in response to queries about GTA IV DLC coming to PS3, we wouldn't be surprised if those "yet to be announced" titles are the result of Microsoft's timed-exclusivity expiring.

Don't know -- I'd be surprised to see GTA5 but what about an updated vice city or sa? In analyst speak, those games probably 'count' as the next GTA

I think it will happen because he's asking PS3 owners to "be patient".

Rockstar knows that they are losing out on fans who haven't played the GTA DLC, and most likely are porting it over sometime in the future. I hope anyway if just for the free online play.

DLC in general shouldn't be exclusive on PSN or XBLA.
If a game is on both platforms, they should serve theyr community equally.

To make a hole game exclusive is a different thing though.

I consider exclusive DLC as flat out bad community support. Tons of money paid or not.

I have both an xbox 360 and ps3 and so far I have refused to buy the GTA DLC cause it's not on both system. Oh yeah, and my copy of GTA4 is for Xbox 360.

there are like a dozen possible inspirational sources this game could draw from I just hope they choose the ones that offer the most fun gameplay options.

I love rockstar and I truly hope this is a game that will utilize the full potential of the ps3 instead of something thats gimped so it can be ported over

well you can pretty much port anything with enough re-working.....but if they do it right and utilize all the PS3's strengths then it will be most difficult for it to be ported....enough so where it wouldnt even be cost worthy...

DLC should be on all consoles not just Xbox360 that is being greedy...Sorry but in my opinion that is Ridiculous that everything has to be Xbox360..Enough is Enough!
But what I will never understand as to why they never added IN GAME MUSIC FOR THIS game for the PS3..Jezz...GTA-5 I doubt we will see this until the late part of 2010..Agent..

I hope Agent isn't this generation equivalent to State of Emergency (also by Rockstar), one of the worst games I've ever had the displeasure to try.

State of Emergency wasnt THAT bad....I actually like it better than the 2nd one...

Oh it was truly horrible. And I remember it being advertised as a GTA clone (this was right after the success of GTA3). Man was I disappointed!

Don't care for the GTA expansions, they should have released them on PS3 for me to care. But Agent really bites my attention, if it stays a PS3 exclusive that is otherwise I wouldn't care again as most crossplatforms just suck because they have to run on outdated hardware as well.

Before you get chewed out and downvoted into oblivion, why don't you actually go play some 360 exclusives. You might like them. Have you ever seen gears of war 2? The graphics on that are fantastic. Besides, whoever judges a game only by graphics are idiots who thinks Crysis is the greatest game ever made. It's people like you that make me hate other gamers.

It depends on agents engine, if rockstar are custom building an engine to cater to the ps3 hardware then its all good.

A lot of the earlier multiplats were just using the cells ppe and its hardware threading and the rsx and completely forgetting about the spe's because in effect the cells ppe and the xbox360 cpu are the same and this would obviously give the 360 an advantage and this is the problem with multiplat games if they build the engine with the 360 in mind then ignoring the spes would make life a lot easier, but if they are building a single platform game then the spes play a much bigger role and at the same time it means that the 360 build will have to be completely redesigned to move the spe's role back into the cpu and gpu areas..

Not trying to prevoke any flaimbaiting but I am huge R* fan. Usually when Sony announces a game, it ususally releases at least a year and a half later. So I don't believe this. I mean, we still haven't seen any actual gameplay for L.A. Noire. I was very excited about AGENT and I love the logo but I know better to what to expect.

As for the GTA episodes, I wish they were available on PS3 cause I played and beaten GTA IV on PS3. Since I just become New 360 owner, I can't wait to play them period.

its Possible.....I mean we JUST heard about Mod Nation Racers this year and it will be out early next year....of course we HAVE seen gameplay of that....they could just very well be keeping it secret for a while

i would love to play the DLC on my ps3. it would get me to finally play the campaign again and earn those trophies. after getting 100%, its hard doing it again. =\

So it will come out some time after LA Noire, but some time before Duke Nukem Forever?

lol...my guess is L.A. Noire wont even get GAME play revealed until late next year with a release window of 2012.....I hope they prove me wrong

strange how this is suppose to be out in 2010 and we have YET to see ANYTHING from it...screenshots or video.....I mean I suppose it possible that the press has seen it and are bound by NDA....but it has intrigued me enough to want to get it....and not just because most of my PS3 games are Exclusive titles either.....lol...its because its Rockstar and they have a GREAT track record.....my guess is tho that this will be at the EARLIEST a Fall 2010 Release IF that....they could mean "fiscal 2010" and that goes into early 2011

If I had to guess, I'd say they're shooting for a Q4 2010 release date. That gives them plenty of pre-E3 coverage and plenty to show off at the event.

Then of course it'll probably get delayed into Q1 of the next year, like all good things seem to.

It'd certainly be nice to see the DLC on PS3. Maybe someday. And hopefully L.A. Noire sees the light of day sometime next year. All this talk should hold something sooner or later. 2011 would be pushing it.

I don't get why everyone is saying that since we haven't seen any game play video for Agent that it won't come out next year. Do people not remember that with GTA IV the first game play video didn't come out until a few months before what was supposed to be the release date (October)
