I dont see a problem with this....hell I'm all for it...Sony has to do what they have to to keep things free...I just HOPE that if they are doing what I THINK they PLAN to do with Home...they get it together first....cause in MY mind I'm thinking that with the PS4 they will try to make Home THE default when you turn on the PS3....and can do all of your setting and everything from there, launch games, join parties etc....and I'm good with it but it just needs some better things down to it first

@ytre

Well done, you've finally exposed the massive corporate conspiracy that is Joystiq. I'm glad we have people like you to defend our sensitive little minds from the Blogosphere's hypnotic power by cluttering the comments with useless, whiny complaints.

Now Home will really look like a Japanese street :).

Although it should say Asahi and not Coca Cola tbh… Did I ever see a Coke machine there?

actually...i think its amazingly smart. i dont know how much money they're going to be making off a deal like this, or brand name stores/products (clothing especially) in the mall. But the cool thing is, they're making money...and they're not doing it in as blatant a way as advertising on xbox live NXE.
Its not that much of a big deal to me, but some of my friends haaate the nxe ads, but the cool thing about the ads/revenue in home is...well, it SHOULD be there, cuz being able to accessorize you avatar/get coups for diet coke is one thing that people would want to do.
All in all, sony...keep doing what you're doing. Get PSN free because for the previous 2 years that i wasn't working, and on very limited income. I would have had to have canceled my account if you were using a 360 like subscription model.
