The 250 dollar trade-in on the old one is an important detail. For 50 dollars, I'd be tempted to make the jump (if it weren't for PS2 games like MGS3, SOTC, and Katamari that I still pop in from time to time).
@Wiizer - We need more Japanese people to buy a PS3 so that devs will stop making their JRPG's on the PS2 or Wii instead of the PS3. If Persona 5 is on the PS2, I'm going to rage.
