This Wednesday: Wallace and Gromit, Sonic and Knuckles rush XBLA

With Major Nelson taking this day of labor off, we look across the pond for word on this week's Xbox Live Arcade title. As previously noted, it appears Sonic and Knuckles will be this week's release at 400

($5). The good word comes from European Xbox community manager "AceyBongos," which just doesn't have the same ring as "Major Nelson." Could Microsoft at least make the guy a general or captain?

Update: Joining the hedgehog and the echidna will be the inventor and his faithful companion. Major Nelson brings word that the mischief of Wallace and Gromit Episode 2: The Last Resort will also be available this Wednesday for 800

($10).

Update 2: Last minute change: No Wallace and Gromit.

awesome! i'd picked the ultimate genesis collection and was very disappointed that you couldn't play the lock-in games. looks like i'll be picking this up!

I loved the boxart for this game when I was a kid, and the intro screen. In fact, I love everything about this game. No platformer has topped S&K; it's perfect.

But I already own numerous copies, so, no.

Any chance of it coming to the PSN?

One word, Sonic. One magic word here explains everything:

Hell yes. I'm very excited for this, largely because of the Lock-On functionality. Whoever thought of actually doing that is a brilliant man/woman. I'll get this and Sonic 3 at the same time and play the HELL out of Sonic 3 and Knuckles.

WTF Sega? Sonic 1, 2, and 3...$10.

Awesome. I'll be buying this game AGAIN. This game is so good, Sonic 3 and Knuckles was the first game I played so I'm glad I'll be able to experience it again after so many years.
Even better because I have all the other Sonic games for XBLA, so I can use the "lock-on" tech.

i want S&K, but i already have it on genesis, gamecube, and wii, i'll save the $5 for RB1 when i finally decide to get a used copy and return it to gamestop

If S&K turns out to be 800 points I'm going to skip buying this.
