"If you wanted that DLC, you had to pre-order it from Gamestop only. That is the perk of doing so, getting something unique to that retailer. They won't release it to everyone else"

I wish that were true, there were so many times that Gamestop's "exclusive" bonus content was a universal code everyone on the internet could use.

Is it just me, or does anyone agree with me that paying full price for a single player, non open-ended game just not worth it anymore?

With all the amazing games with tons of content that have been released over the last few years, I just cant justify $60 for something that half these commenters have beaten already.

I don't have as much time to play games (or money to spend on them) as I used to, so maybe that's it. Cost vs Time spent actually enjoying the game is a big deal for me now.

IMO How can you compare $60 in value of a game like this to say Modern Warfare 2, which is sure to have a great single player AND multiplayer experience?

I've always thought that the mark of a great single player game is wanting to go back and play through it again a couple times.

Far Cry 2, Bioshock, Dead Space, Dead Rising- I played those games through time and time again. I have a feeling Batman is going to be no different.

When faced with the option to re-play a single player game, I've almost always had a multiplayer game (or just a different game entirely) to take up my time, rather than playing something I already did.

It has to be something amazing for me to want to "re-live" the experience. And even then, its easier to justify when it's a co-op type single player situation. Nothing like the marathon all in 1 night game play throughs of old with friends.

Everyone has their own preferences and expectations for what they get out of the money they spend. When you think about it, how is multi-player any less repetitive than re-playing single player in a game? Even with great multi-player games like COD4, which really is good, it's not THAT much of a different experience every time you log in. Once you've experienced the different modes, you're doing the same thing over and over again, just maybe with different people. But it's still the same beast. There's plenty of people out there that can get the same enjoyment through repetition with a single player game.

Hopefully it's The Joker, since the Xbox 360 got screwed out of an exclusive and they pampered the PS3 instead. The Joker, or another character.

Modern Batgirl as a playthrough character! The combat in the game gets more awesome, but all the text in the game becomes unreadable gibberish.

Heck, they have Oracle in the game so they at least acknowledge that the Batman franchise has changed since 1983...

I'm really hoping for more predator levels. I can beat guys up all day, but it eventually gets old. I love the strategy and different techniques you can plan out in the predator levels. I'd love to see some new combat moves or takedowns as well. And the option to display a giant BAM! or POW! when you punch henchmen.

Side note, we're over 100 comments in, and I'm surprised no one has asked for a Harley and Ivy nude patch.

Avatar gear would be handled this way by MS...now available on the xbl market place the batsuit: cowl- 140 ms points
cape- 140 ms points
Actual batsuit-320 ms points
Utility belt- 240 ms points
Batboots- 160 ms points
ms rep "for only 1000 ms points your avatar can be batman. We think this reprisents value to the consumer because we aren't forcing you to buy anything you don't need. If you only want the cape you can purchase that with piece of mind that you won't be charged a premium for things you won't use, and if you want any other piece you can upgrade at any time. At ms that's our philosophy, giving the consumer the choice." riiiiiiiiight.....

I'm gonna have to say that it's either Crime Alley or Dem Bones (or both), just to give GameStop pre-orderers and Collector's Edition owners a small timed exclusive in the end, and allowing everybody to have a go at these maps.

No. It's not. In case you didn't know, that content's been bought and paid for by Sony. Unless you expect Microsoft to pay Sony for it?

happy = YES.
i really like this game...

i dont know how much i missed cause i beat the game and had 70% completion or such.... hopefully not too much...

but i would like to see the riddler in the game.. i kept thinking i would run into the riddler at some point, but never did.. ( but my 30% non-completion might have something to do with that?)

the challenges are good and hard for me.
easy to beat of course, but hard to win the challenge's...
my points are so low on the fighting ones, i dont know how some people's scores are so high?

I finished with 74%, and I'm fairly sure that it records percentage the same way the MP did; solving the Riddler puzzles & picking up trophies counts towards the total percentage completed.

tips to scoring high: lots of variation in moves. 9 different varitions nets you 5k per round. do that all 4 rounds and you already have 20K. also, obviously, dont get hit. counter or punch once, then double tap x to jump over someone and repeat.

B:AA is the best superhero game of all time plain & simple point blank & my personal wishful thinking of the new free dlc would be an epilogue to the end of the story mode in which Bats prevents the problem that you hear on the police dispatch right before he leaves arkham island. But hey that probably wouldn't be a free dlc, it'll probably be some flashy costume but I really wouldn't mind paying a lil extra 4 an epilogue... *sigh*

With the success that this game is having; no doubt the epilogue you're looking for will be in the form of a sequel.
