Though we heard about a planned follow-up to the gravity-twisting Prey way back in March of 2008, things have been quiet on the game ever since. Now, according to filings found by superannuation, Bethesda parent company Zenimax has acquired the rights to the series.
Does this mean that id Software, which was recently acquired by Bethesda, is collaborating with the publisher on an incredible, post-apocalyptic open-world game filled with Native Americans and disturbingly vaginal doors? Yes. Yes, that's exactly what it means. But you didn't hear it from us.

Those giant vaginas creeped me out. I have enough issues with the real kind.

Aw, don't explain the reference. Also, chatter is the best part! I.E. Right now!

But if they aren't bloody, how can we call them a vagina?

Actually looks more like the bloody distended end of a phallus... like someone did too much sounding or something. Don't google that. Please. But to the point... that's a really funny looking vay-jay. Look at your member. Now look at the pic.

I see this picture and am reminded of the wisdom of South Park's Mr. Garrison.

I had a hard time playing it, mostly because the main character seems to be based off of me. Native american, looks exactly like me, is very sarcastic and cynical. It's really eerie, all of my friends have made comments about it as well.
other than that it was a good game

Prey was really good and very disturbing. Great soundtrack and environment. Probably the best game on 360 for a year or so.

IMO, Prey is the best looking game based off the Doom 3 engine, but the gameplay was boring. Since dying in the game results the player to be dropped right where they died, there was no purpose of trying to stay alive. Half way through the game, i found myself to get out of the way of danger since it wouldn't make much of a difference. Plus, it's extremely repetitive, which doesn't help.

Prey is good but the demon organic cyborg crap gets really old and monotonous, especially if youve played Doom 3 and Quake 4. Its a lot better than Doom3 in terms of gameplay but looks exactly like Doom3 and all the other id games because that designer cant seem to do anything else, its too bad they didnt get a different person to design the theme.

Um, what? Prey was made by different people than Doom and Quake.

@ WiredKnight: Doom 3 and Quake 4 had different developers too...
Don't get the game if you like to be challenged in any way shape or form. If the fact that there is even less punishment for "dying" in this game than BioShock doesn't bother you, ya might like it. Personally, I can't play a game if it doesn't challenge me, so I felt like it was a waste of time.
Hell, I'll give you my copy. Seriously. Give me an address. Levisemail1337@gmail.com. I'll seriously mail the game to you for free.

Yes, that's technically true, since Quake was made by Raven. But the IP was still originally developed by id, and they used some of Doom 3's assets in Quake 4.

Prey was great. Of course if you don't pace yourself, its all over too quickly. But definately felt more like what Doom 3 shoulda been.

I liked Doom 3 better, but there's certainly enough room in this world for both. Looking forward to the sequel. (Hope you don't get 1-upped by Portal again, guys.)

bethesda really likes to make things shiny dont they? Every game of theirs has glossy shiny surfaces.

Also, Fallout 3 was not that shiny. If you want shiny, take a look back at Perfect Dark Zero. Holy crap everything in that game was either too dark, glowing, or shiny.

This was one of my first 360 games (I fell in LOVE with the demo). This was one of the best games for the 360 when this came out, and it holds up. It is a very creative, and enjoyable game.
I would buy a sequal in a heartbeat.

Anything as long as they have a protagonist who doesn't make me angry or cringe anytime he opens his damn mouth or a cliché plot twist that was about as surprising/touching as getting dirt on your shoes.
The actual game itself was fun and had some nice stuff going on, but if it was finished faster after being shown in 98, god damn, that would've been revolutionary and not just solid.
