Dear sk8r,

First off, great, great name.

Second, the proceeds from the song are going to charity, so you make yourself sound like an imbecile talking about the company needing to recoup their expenses.

Third, the DLC packs will arrive every month, and they will be full albums.

Fourth, again, the name, awesome.

Love,

Justin

do you have any idea what your talking about? have you ever played rock band before? with very few exceptions, all of the DLC that rock band releases on a weekly basis costs money, why wouldn't you expect the same of the beatles?

Dear Justin,

First off, Griffin is a better writer. I know this because he does not say "First off".

Second, Thank you for pointing out what a great name sk8r has. I would like to add it is pretty original.

Love,
JXC

P.S. Do you think if we ask Valve to put Zombie Griffin into L4D2 they will make him a special zombie? Just an idea since he died at PAX and all.

P.P.S. Tell "the wind" that walmart has NyQuil and to leave you alone.

I like free things, too.

been my screen name since aol in the late '90's and I have used the name for my online experiences since then. its easy for me to remember and described me at the time. just a bit to much about me. hobby, name, age.
thanks for taking a liking and disliking to my name people. :)

and BTW all proceeds after costs means the amount after cost and who even knows what the price tag cost on this excsluive DLC track is ?
will enough people buy the track to even cover the supposed "costs" to contribute anything to charity?

and also you can goto the cheesecake factory right now and if you order a slice of $ 8.00 red velvet cake, they will donate 25 cents to charity right now... head on down, youll be making a huge difference... lol

BUT I ADMIT I WAS DUMB TO NOT READ THE ENTIRE ARTICLE AND POST ABOUT THE PART WITH THE PROCEEDS GOING TO CHARITY IN THE FIRST PLACE...
that is better than nothing and could bring in some money for a could cause, hopefully..?

beat me up, its OK....

could = good.
and scott-
its a joke because they spent 40 million to beatles rights, and it is guitar hero will sell millions more copies, and rock band has a lot of money to make this time to feel comfortable IMO.
free batman dlc was nice, so was free halo maps, so was a bunch of other games...
but i dont expect it.
i wasnt that serious in my 1st comment. geez.

and yeah i love clicking on those adds, when i have 2 computers at home and 3 at my work?
yeah i love spam and scam sites so much... yeah i love the chance of spyware coming onto my computer. yes i love things that are too good to be true.

damn internet dummies....
first, if you think buying a rock band track or piece of pie is giving to charity.. just get lost.
its marketing and PR mostly.

to donate to charity, you actually have to personally donate to a charity..

my internet crap comments dont really mean much for my real life.
i give to many organizations directly such as:
heal the bay, surf-rider foundation, Monterrey bay aquarium, long beach aquarium, salvation army, teen challenge, pet adoption companies such as: paws 4 life, etc, and other things throughout the year...

i wouldnt be surprised if I donated more money per year than you crackpots who want to seem like i am doing something wrong... lol...

duke- actually my work typing is going fine and helping me out much financially.
i dont care much about this forum comment crap over the net. im sure most of you are sitting at home not doing much. its ok. have fun picking things apart...lol

and you go captain planet.. :) fucking nerdy loser...
i didnt know captain planet sat online all day......

Oh no you di'nt.

Dude, DLC is only $2.00 a pop. And it's been confirmed by everyone that this is charity, including Harmonix, Apple Corps, and Microsoft. And on top if all that, it's "All You Need is Love". That alone is awesome enough to purchase it because that song is great, and if you don't think so, you must be retarded.

yeah darkwater i own the song on about 3 different beatles albums already.

did anybody miss the part when i said i was dumb for not reading the entire article?
i could have gone on and on, but i admitted that.
i wouldnt have made the OP if I had read the entire article.

but it doesnt negate the fact that the entire $ 2.00 is not going to the charity. after proceeds means after everybody got their piece of the pie to cover costs of putting the material on Xbox live, an amount NONE of us know.

it just felt like people were talking down on me like a bad person for not being into charities, which is totally not the case with me.
id just rather go directly to the charity.

yeah idiots do not move on and get stuck on stuff and dont let up... thats life.

and yeah people that sit on the net most of the day and play around with downvotes, upvotes, kudos, and trying to be funny etc... probably do not have much going on in their lives...
but obviously that is just a sterotype and not RIGHT all the time.
but darn it is true a lot of the time.

and duke my typing sucks, but most of my daytime (PST) posts are from work and I really dont give them much time or thought. i am usually doing many other things and shouldnt even waste my time online. but i like to come on joystiq especially on lunch and breaks..

that is why i come and go from this site.. i should stay away, it does nothing for real life, means nothing, but i enjoy it for some reason.... cant explain i guess.

and my posts are always long and such. its just how I am. im not 1 for quick 1 liners much...
and when people are mean that is what they will get in return.

i was commenting to a corporation and had an issue, which was later found to be wrong, but i got some darn nice replies from the community of real humans that get off on being mean and replying to any which comment they can....
that crap gets me going, it always had. mean for mean.
just how it goes on the internet.
people make funny comments, people make dumb comments, people act like they know everything.......

JUSTIN- nice letter to me btw. were you making fun of the way i make a new paragraph every sentence or so ? honestly i don't know why i have that problem... its funny.

now do you 100% know if they are talking about GROSS OR NET proceeds, because they are 2 different terms and have different meanings...
'all proceeds' can mean all gross proceeds or all net proceeds.....

if 100% of all GROSS proceeds are going to charity I am 100% wrong and it was a really dumb comment.

if NET proceeds are going to charity i still have a valid point at hand.

thats the only reason i talked about charity getting 25 cents of an 8 dollar piece of pie, because i assumed they are talking about NET proceeds after costs.

Even though I don't like these type of games my boyfriend loves them and I love the Beatles so I got it for him.

They chose some excellent songs though and the visuals are really stunning. Overall I give it an A just based on the experience alone.

Exclusive DLC for the 360 version? i didn't know that....

game sales may have a % going to charity but this still screams of rip off when dlc is available month b4 release.
not owned one since gh2 and not played since rockband1. mainly due to none of my m8s buying one since rb and me not buying since gh2 due to their rip off state of mind. i worked out that a m8 of mine spent about 8000msp on extra songs for rb on top of how ever much he spent for game drums etc.
total con

So basically instead of choosing to include this in the box, they figured they would just charge us for it as DLC?

I don't care what cause they tell you it's for, day-one DLC is sleazy marketing that rips off the consumer. If game content is done before the game's release, people expect it to be included in the box.

I guess you'd rather not have this song at all then? This is more than any other spin-off has ever done in this genre. It's not gonna kill you to put forth $2, and if it would, then why did you spend $60 for it in the first place?
