I hope that Warner doesn't get greedy and put an Activision on us.

I'm confused...what has activision done to us? Looks to me like they've turned all that Hero money into MW2.

please!!. batman is a great game. superman as a game sucked!! except for the first twenty minutes you spend flying around. wonder woman would be a wack game. aqua man would be a wack game. green lantern would prolly be a wack game. hawk man or woman would be a wack game. the wonder twins!! you already know. DC just has lame heros compared to marvel. the best thing they got going for themselves is THE BAT!! make more and better batman games. have other heros added to batman stories. don't try to break any lamer dc heros into this gaming genre.

I'm so happy to finally see a good game selling great. It's such a refreshing turn of events.

As long as I'm not playing a casual game or a JRPG, I'm pretty much always happy :D

Just finished Batman AA last night. It is very good, imagine if God of War, Metal Gear Solid and Bioshock got in a 3-way and somehow pumped out a kid.

The only thing that could really make it better would be Danny Elfman music. Only near the end of the playthrough did I realize I could, in theory, rip the original Batman's soundtrack onto the hard drive as use that as background. Oh well.

This game feels more like the gadget-and-grappling hook coolness of the first movie / 90's cartoon, not the "angst and falling off buildings" of the new movies.

I know, that's the thing with character development, a good plot and decent acting, they just suck the fun out of everything. Wait a second, you liked Transformers 2, didn't you?!

Man, I sure hope this doesn't mean their going to milk the series. I would hate to see:

Batman: Arkham Asylum 2: Dude I totally fell for Joker's plan again

and the inevitable:

Batman: Arkham Asylum 3: Kart Racing

SPOILER:

Well given that you see Killer Croc again at the end of AA, I'd imagine they would make a sequel. AA's story continued past that point, so it's not impossible to keep going with it.

Er... I saw SOMEONE at the end of AA, but it wasn't Killer Croc.

Someone more interesting, in fact. Croc is rather one-dimensional.

And I saw Bane...who I'd be MUCH happier with than Scarecrow or Croc being the big baddie in the sequel. Him, or Two-Face.

I believe you see a different one of those three based on your percentage at the end of the game...

"not the "angst and falling off buildings" of the new movies."

I thought we all decided not to remember the first Batman movies. I thought we were suppose to work as a team!

As far as "angst" and "falling off buildings" I think your thinking of the movie City of Angels.

Superhero are now officially serious business, and no, I'm not making an internet joke.

With all this news about acquisitions (Marvel) and restructuring (DC), lord knows that we're going prepare for a comic book superhero war. It probably won't be in the comics (I could be wrong though) but instead, in games, movies, and television. This Restructuring isn't a knee-jerk reaction to Marvel's news... it's a battle plan.

Back to Batman: Arkham Asylum, I assume that it played a role in this. I believe that we're going to see a lot more super-hero games, quality ones too, from both WB and Rocksteady studios. WB isn't going to let this gaming company walk away from them when they've made such a hit.

If we left it in their hands, they could probably make a decent 'Watchmen' Game as well. Or Justice League game like some have said.

Either way, this isn't the end for comic books, it's only the beginning.

thats how those things go.. comparing week to week, or month to month.
just like the ps3 sold 1000% more in japan in 1 week, however the week was actually only a few days total...

Your article is incorrect; this move is not "Marvel-inspired". Think about it; this is a MAJOR move.. and they pull it off in two weeks?

It's said that this has been in the planning for two years.

While this is all good news I think the biggest news for me yesterday was that Paul Levitz is returning to Adventure Comics and quitting his job as president of DC. But video games are good too.

Awesome news. Batman: AA was one of the best games of this gen. Just give the games to studios like Rocksteady who actually care about putting out a quality product and I'll keep buying them.
