Ugh, what's with keyboard?
Lunastra78 (PSN: lunastra78) @ Sep 10th 2009 8:05PM
Looks like someone spilled gray pixels on it. What a waste.
Sundset @ Sep 10th 2009 8:09PM
Madcatz purchased Saitek a while back, its there gaming keyboard by the looks of it just with a garish new paint job. I have very little respect for Madcatz products, I had some hope for something interesting after the SF4 fight-sticks sold so well but it looks like that hope was misplaced :(
Chromekreeper @ Sep 10th 2009 9:09PM
i think a better question is...
WHAT THE HELL IS A THROAT COMMUNICATOR!?
Ballistic H @ Sep 10th 2009 10:12PM
@ Chromekeeper: never saw the movie Speed?

Ballistic H @ Sep 10th 2009 10:14PM
@ Lunastra78: Ever seen the recent standard US military battle uniform? Digital camo.
Special Agent Steve @ Sep 10th 2009 11:09PM
Definitely sticking with my Logitech G15. LCD screen FTW lol.
BananaBoat @ Sep 11th 2009 12:14AM
It's already been revealed that it's only an imitation throat communicator. It's really just a microphone that sits around your neck. To paraphrase the product manager from Mad Catz; "Having a mic around your neck makes snacking easier".
Oh, and hell yes digital camo.
xFenixKnightx @ Sep 10th 2009 8:04PM
Oh laa laa!!! My 360 will be looking pimp with that new faceplate and skin!
Cr4sh Dummy @ Sep 10th 2009 10:20PM
I concur, that faceplate will be sweet!
grimm @ Sep 11th 2009 1:02AM
I heard somewhere that the throat communicator makes snacking while gaming alot easier!!!... ugh .. Still may be through.
CheeziePotato @ Sep 10th 2009 8:05PM
Overpriced pieces of shit
CobraClutch @ Sep 10th 2009 10:51PM
You'd have to pay me to use any of that ass.
Sly Cooper, Attorney at Law @ Sep 10th 2009 8:09PM
damn, when i walk into gamestop to pickup my copy of MW2, i'm going to be horribly tempted by that PS3 controller. remapping the melee to the back of the controller would make the tactical button layout perfect for me. easy dropshot controls but now with easy to use melee too. i just hope the controller is quality...
mars @ Sep 10th 2009 8:12PM
remember though, the ps3 one doesn't have rumble, and the 360 isn't wireless. but they msrp for the same as the 1st party ones. and probably suck
Sly Cooper, Attorney at Law @ Sep 10th 2009 8:15PM
melee is way more important than rumble to me. i'll just wait for a couple of reviews of the controller before i buy it.
[ArchiGamer] @ Sep 10th 2009 8:16PM
To bad they look ugly as sin....
Sly Cooper, Attorney at Law @ Sep 10th 2009 8:45PM
doesn't bother me at all since the only time i look at them is when i pick them up.
Sly Cooper, Attorney at Law @ Sep 10th 2009 8:47PM
actually, now that i went back and looked at it, it doesn't look bad at all. http://www.joystiq.com/photos/call-of-duty-modern-warfare-2s-mad-catz-accessories/2272968/
Edward @ Sep 10th 2009 10:07PM
Too bad the ps3 controller isn't bluetooth and isn't a rumble style controller.
Sly Cooper, Attorney at Law @ Sep 10th 2009 11:27PM
"melee is way more important than rumble to me."
A Gupta @ Sep 10th 2009 8:09PM
Whatever happened to the controller that looked like a gun? That's the one that I was interested in...
RKN @ Sep 10th 2009 8:10PM
I think that was a photoshop.
The Dark Trooper @ Sep 10th 2009 8:11PM
I think that was only ever a 'mock up' that joystiq did for the posts about this
Sly Cooper, Attorney at Law @ Sep 10th 2009 8:16PM
are you kidding? that was a mockup by joystiq, and the analog sticks were in horrible locations. you would be barely able to move, let alone aim.
Ballistic H @ Sep 10th 2009 10:16PM
Looked dumb too, not cool.
Bravo6 @ Sep 10th 2009 11:01PM
lol, good one
Snake Robot Podium @ Sep 10th 2009 8:10PM
Are there any PS3 controllers that have the sticks set up like the 360?
When I read another post about MadCatz asking for gamer feedback, I hoped that this would come from them.
Jose @ Sep 10th 2009 8:16PM
I bet that KB/Mouse combo works with your PS3...
Sly Cooper, Attorney at Law @ Sep 10th 2009 8:17PM
i don't care for the stick placement on the 360 controllers, but i do love the controller shape. that would be a significant improvement to the controller.
Shadowbender (Nelson Is Behind You) @ Sep 10th 2009 8:19PM
Same here, I love the 360 controller shape. Very comfortable and it looks great. But i still love the PlayStation controller, being that I grew up with that.
Bubbameister33 @ Sep 10th 2009 8:25PM
There is a XBox style PS3 controller. I think i saw it on Gamestop's website or Amazon awhile back.
Jose @ Sep 10th 2009 8:28PM
If you don't count the D-pad, 360 controller IS superior. Use on on my PC for anything that's not a shooter.
iPunch @ Sep 10th 2009 8:41PM
http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=74984
The Wireless Shadow Controller is set up like the 360's..
The Dark Trooper @ Sep 10th 2009 8:10PM
The only thing there that might actually be worth buying would be the faceplates.
Everything else is a complete waste.
MrXile @ Sep 10th 2009 9:51PM
My thoughts exactly.
and I dont even own a 360!
RagingStormX @ Sep 10th 2009 10:17PM
So true.... I hand it to MadCatz though, no one has beating them for the year in selling shit and calling it sugar. I will never buy another MCz accessory again until their product quality have been greatly increased. Best of luck to the ones who do buy it....you might just be one of the lucky ones who's product actually works.
Shadowbender (Nelson Is Behind You) @ Sep 10th 2009 8:16PM
Screw this, I want my Bioshock 2 accessories when it comes out next year.
I'm not saying I'm not excited for MW2, but still, I would rather have my stuff from good ol' Rapture.
koehler83 @ Sep 10th 2009 8:25PM
Are those wires? What year is this?
Shadowbender (Nelson Is Behind You) @ Sep 10th 2009 8:30PM
The year is 2050. Activision took over the world and said "You know what? Let's take the cheap way out, so that way we have enough money to send out a GH game every single fargin' year!" Thus, the company went so cheap we went back to wires. It was a sad day for gamers...
aristokrat @ Sep 10th 2009 8:48PM
Microsoft charges a lot (or even doesn't allow) for use of their proprietary wireless connection (the problem RB/GH had initially), I believe.
captainprotonx @ Sep 10th 2009 8:30PM
Predictable garbage.
aristokrat @ Sep 10th 2009 8:50PM
Hmm, the throat communicator is tempting, though I'm sad MS went away from the bigger plug version for their headsets. It's much nicer having the controls at the base of the controller instead of mid-cord. If the reviews are good enough for the throat communicator, I might spring on it.
kentuckyfried @ Sep 10th 2009 9:04PM
That's too bad...for a moment there, I was hoping the ps3 one would integrate something I do like about the 360 controller...the stereo plug for a standard headset. Very smart, and it prevents headsets from accidentally and abruptly getting ripped out of your ear (which is fine, but can easily destroy earbuds in the process).
But you guys also say that it doesn't have rumble?! What is this, 2007? -_-
Failure of the highest degree.
Chromekreeper @ Sep 10th 2009 9:07PM
man, digital camoe just looks right. ive been looking for a new controller, this just might be it ;)
UK31337 @ Sep 10th 2009 9:14PM
Why does one game need all this stuff released for it? MW2 will get superceded in a year's time by another CoD game, it's a fact of Activision's life - will they wheel out another crapload of themed peripherals then too? Or when the next IW CoD comes out?
I'm sorry but I really don't see the point. Okay, a 360 faceplate and maybe a special edition headset I can understand, but all this other junk? The 360 controller is wired and all the other stuff looks stupid.
Junk. You'd have to be a hardened fanboy to even consider half of this stuff.
rsv2dark32 @ Sep 10th 2009 9:24PM
They would put the main pic of 360 instead of ps3 and 360, figures, i mean, even commercials do that....i'm tired of it.
antftw @ Sep 10th 2009 9:23PM
I don't like COD, but I want that PS3 controller.
killzoomer @ Sep 10th 2009 9:39PM
Man they need more PS3 stuff
Nate @ Sep 11th 2009 11:03AM
ok, I know by now I'm being anal retentive, but am I the only person who's annoyed that big pictures of xbox-360 face plates are displayed when *cough(I don't own nor plan to own a 360, and only come here for ps3 news)cough*.
It's just... tacky, and I've been complaining about this since before it became joystiq. Think of buying a dell computer off ebay and it coming with mac stickers.
