Not literal wallpaper, of course. That would be boring. No, the latest bit of Halo 3: ODST marketing will reward you with digital wallpaper, assuming you can figure out its devilish puzzles (or look up the solution on the internet). Microsoft has released a little interactive video series on its ODST splash page, in which Sgt. Buck -- the leader of the ODST squad in the game -- interviews potential candidates for a mission.
Within each interview, there is a section that has been "redacted" and requires an access code for clearance. It's up to Halo fans to uncover just what those codes are. For those that want to discover them on their own, we won't spoil the fun for you. Here's a hint though: Watch the live action ODST trailer again. The rest of the codes can be found within the ODST site itself.
For those that don't care about all that and just want some wallpaper, you can find the codes -- expertly hidden -- after the break.
Dutch - 12-485-TA
Romeo - 15-926-PI
Crespo - 47-074-SN
Wallpaper - 06-078-TI

I wonder how many people will not understand how to reveal the "expertly hidden" codes...

Are the codes: Dutch, Romeo, Crespo, and Wallpaper. They seem pretty lame code names. And why is there a random black rectangle next to the code names?

I can't tell if your being serious or being sarcastic like a total idiot
But if you WERE being serious, sorry and you should highlight those "random black rectangles" if you want to see the code........ =/

BTW to everyone, it was sarcasm. That's why I deliberately mentioned the black rectangles in the post.

Kinda mediocre wallpapers imo, wish they had a 1680x1050 for that matter. Think id rather just use the one from bungie.net with the art of all the squad

^^^ That thread on Bungie.net debunked this like a week ago. Why is joystiq getting slower with their information?

Debunked what? There was no information to be debunked.

Sorry, I meant that these videos were posted by Microsoft (and the codes were found) like a week ago. Whenever I go to Joysiq, the news that's posted is always new to me. But lately some of the news has been old, like a week, or more, old. (e.g. the Psych episode w/ Crackdown, the unedited ODST live action trailer, or even Conan w/ Beatles Rock Band)

I can't get Mickey's access code to work, after 5 tries. Butch's and Romeo's worked fine, but Mickey's wont.
