PSN Thursday: In time with Turtles, Silent Hill and George Takei

Oh, my! Although the release of Turtles in Time and Silent Hill on PSN this week is certainly noteworthy, it's the appearance of George Takei in PAIN that takes the cake. The original Star Trek star will be at your disposal to shoot from a canon and ... seriously, why would you want to hurt George Takei? He's awesome! The Andy Dick hurtable PAIN DLC character from a couple weeks back was a far more understandable option. Check out the rest of the update after the break.

wow! amazing update. and is juggernaut a new character for MvC2 or is it just an unlock?

oh, and i didn't even see the PSP stuff. wipeout pulse on the PS store, and a half-minute hero demo make this update even better.

those who pre-order with Gamestop get Juggernaut for free.

I'd buy silent hill, but I think I'd rather get the Wii re-make for the updated graphics and such. Blood Omen is enticing though....

yeah the Wii/PS2 remake is looking really good, the whole no weapons/combat thing will make the game more interesting IMO.

I still have my original copy. Something about those old, grainy graphics make it seem even creepier.

They look like verrrry different games. I'm willing to bet playing the original and playing the Wiimake will be far more of a difference than playing, say, Bionic Commando on NES and BC:R.

I have the original black label Silent Hill, and I agree, super creepy. I LOVE that game.

I bought Wipeout Pulse on clearance at Target for $7.50. I understand that I took advantage of an incredible deal but what the hell is Sony thinking with the $23 price point? Don't they want anyone to actually buy these games?

Hmm, what happened to the LBP demo? I already have the game but more people to play with and more user created levels is always nice.

And what about Oddworld, wasn't that supposed to be out now too? :-/

LBP demo is in the UK PSN store...and so is the Fifa 10 demo, if anyone is interested...as well as the Katamari Forever demo. I always check the UK store first on Thurs since they are 5hrs ahead of the US. I grabbed Fifa and Katamari early this afternoon.

Oh, and they have new dynamic themes such as one for Motorstorm and a couple others that the US doesn't have.

Wow, nice. I was looking forward to the LBP demo, since i haven't tried the game out yet, but SH & Blood omen are tempting.

Damn it. I still have my original copies of Silent Hill and Blood Omen. I was REALLY hoping they'd come out on the PSP like FFVII did.

Every original Playstation game can play on the PSP.

If I can buy them through the store on the PSP then I apologize for being a moron and have never been happier to be completely wrong.

yes you can buy them off the store on PSP, and play them on PSP.

Hell, I download it on my ps3 (cuz it's much much faster) and then install them, and "then" copy it over to my psp connected through usb. Goes much faster for me than doing it wirelessly. It even prompts you afterwards if you want to delete it off your ps3.

Thanks everyone. I'm a bit of a moron apparently. Since they weren't under the "PSP" section of the article I assumed the worst. I don't have a PS3, so, I was upset because I assumed they wouldn't be in the PSP store.

Already purchased and downloaded them, and I'm stoked to have two of my favorite PS1 games available to be played at any time.

to anyone who's played tutles in time is it good downloadable game?,because Damon "Hatefield" over at IGN said the game was terrible and thrashed it on the xboxlive version.

There is a demo for it. I tried it out and it just didn't feel right. The music was extremely bland, which only added to the uninspired graphics to make it even more boring. I understand the appeal for it, but from what i played (which was quite short), it's a bad transition from 2D to 3D.

Turtle in Time Re-Shelled is not a good video game.

There is not a more clear and concise statement to be made than that.

I love Blood Omen, but it really hasn't aged well and I still own my original copy.
I'd love to see it remade, as it's such an integral part of the story..
