Toys R Us is my favorite walk-in game store around here. They get so few customers in comparison to the Game Stops, Best Buys, and Wal-Marts, that the only business they get are the people getting the big games. It's always a great place to go when I'm looking for something that isn't in wide retail circulation anymore.

I really hope this doesn't mess it up. I haven't been to Game Stop in almost three years because of their used game pushing and opening display copies (I get used OLD games on Ebay or from Digital Press users anyways). If Toys R Us adopts similar practices I'll probably have to shift all of my regular game shopping to Amazon (who, ironically, used to provide e-commerce for TRU).

At any rate, if this affects their annual B2G1, they'll lose a lot of customers.

Yes! Now I can justify all my game purchases by telling my wife that "it's for the baby!"

So, will George Plimpton be brought back to re-sell the Intellivision carts? After all, Intellivision is Intelligent Television.

I actually work for TRU and we do get the used games back in from the third party company... we accept games as old as atari 2600, however unless the game came out yesterday i dont think we give more then a $1.50 for them...

but, like i said we do get the used games back in... nothing older then ps2 yet though as far as my store goes.

It would be nice to use this option when trying to take advantage of a buy one get one deal or other great promo that TRS does... i usually trade something when buying new and would definately trade to TRS to get a great deal on a new game than give it to gamestop and have them put the 54.99 sticker on the damn thing after just giving me 20 bucks and then putting it on the shelf right in front of me....i bet TRS will just package it as new and not tell me!

It's a great idea on paper but knowing the TRU higher ups and their combined IQ of a microwave they will screw this up somehow.

Wow, this will lead to a HUGE increase in the supply of classic games, meaning the value will drop. Seriously guys, sell your rare games on eBay now and when the market is flooded buy them back for half the price. :D

Whoops! Missed that. Well, that makes no earthly sense. Why would they trade them in and not sell them again? Unless - they will be selling them again, via different means.

I work at Toys R Us, and we started this about a month ago.

I think the games get sent off to the "Game Factory"...no joke.

I was told that we would eventually be selling used games, after we had a built up a nationwide inventory. However, I'm not sure if this will actually come to pass.
