Daft Punk assembling 11 unique mixes for DJ Hero

Rolling Stone reveals that the upcoming DJ Hero won't just feature DJ Jazzy Jeff and Grandmaster Flash, as the robotic rockers themselves, Daft Punk, will also make a very shiny appearance. Along with their signature sets and outfits, the French beat blasters are also crafting 11 unique mixes for the game. Fans will be pleased to know that favorites "Around the World" and "Robot Rock" will indeed make the cut, among others.

To check out eight of the Daft Punk tracks, you'll have to go around the break (around the break).

idk what i'm going to do. no way my wallet can take this hit, but with these songs + DJ Jazzy and GMF i dont think i can say no to this game.

i was just about to say the same until i saw the track list.. they dont have all of my favorite songs-- FACE to FACE, DIGITAL LOVE, Harder, Better..., Aerodynamic & Something About Us

Crap. I don't want to buy this game, but apparently now I have to.

I might just settle with finding the soundtrack to tide me over until the price drops. I figure it's either MW2 or this, and I'd much rather have a funny little NVG'ed head!

I think games like these with new peripherals should have a mattress-like try-before-you-buy policy. I happily willing try out both Ride and this (as I think they have potential to be fun), but the risk of disappointment is too high compared to the price. In-store kiosks don't do it justice, and all my friends have the same point of view as me, so none of us will probably buy this. Not that I mind Activision getting less money.

I usually steer clear of rhythm based games like this, but now I'll need to pay more attention to it. The absence of "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" is a letdown, though.

"Around the World" is a "favorite"? And it's suppose to make me "more" inclined to purchase the game? I just loaded it up on YouTube for the first time, and it is just awful. I've played GH/RB since GH2, but I won't be touching this with a ten foot pole.
