I don't know about all this... As long as it has more or less the same look and feel of the original I'll be happy, but I really don't want them to change too much.

I couldn't get into the original at all. Felt too chaotic, too messy. I bought it when I bought the 360 at Halo 3 launch and still haven't spent more than 2-3 hours on it. I keep telling myself I'll throw it in at some point, but I keep going to other games instead.

"GOOD JOB AGENT!"

if this game has the same feel and presentation as the first along with that awesome voice. I will get back on the xbox boat.

I agree, the first was great for its simplicity, this is a case where if they add too much it could ruin the game.

Couldn't disagree with you less Tip tup. Way too many games have stories that some idiot writer thought was the greatest thing ever but was actually pretty terrible (see Gears of War; see Halo; see GRAW; see Rainbow 6 Vegas).

Just give me a world to play in and leave me alone god damn it. Don't make me watch cutscene after cutscene and don't make a game a series of scripted events.

Let's hope they don't charge for a pack of 5 or so weapons like they did in the original. Also, is it too much to ask for non-system link split screen?

And I'm guessing the magnetic grenade is replacing the harpoon gun of awesomeness? Whatever, I know this game is going to be amazing. It's not that hard to 1up the original.

Open world? Mutating virus? Ability upgrades? Sounds suspiciously like Prototype to me. I hope it ends up not being much like it, though. I prefer Crackdown over Prototype myself.

Crackdown already had ability upgrades an open world and those freaks. Doesn't seem like they are following Prototype to me, more like the other way around.

If prototype had the draw distance of crackdown, I'd agree. But it doesn't. Prototype killed all the fun of pointlessly collecting orbs!

If I can stick my friends to the side of my vehicle as I drive up the side of a skyscraper only to jump out at the top and watch the vehicle plummet back down to the streets below and explode in a fiery blaze.....THIS GAME WILL RULE.

Yeah, I made the mistake of getting into the passenger seat of a car my buddy was driving in Crackdown 1 rather than just taking my own ride (which I usually do). He proceeded to drive me off the edge of a cliff (of course bailing out himself at the last second) into the water below. Not only that, the car happened to land right on a freaking mine in the water, which exploded me into a fiery corpse.

Headed into that, I didn't even know there were water-mines in the game. It just happened to be near that one boss that has the abandoned boathouse with old WW2 sub mines littered nearby.

Just thought you might like to know - one of the pop-up ads (it was green with a slot machine thang going on) is killing your video player for me. Regardless of video.

is it just me... or does jumping from a crimefighting supercop to a monster killing.. err.. supermonsterkiller seem very cliche?
i mean seriously.. did they just pull an idea out of their asses and say "hey, lets make people mutant monsters instead of gangbangers!"

sounds EXACTLY like the first game. later in the game the supersoldier cloning place gets destroyed and the freaks get out and roam the streets and run riot.

theres a sticky grenade in the first game along with stat controlled mutations to your skills...cars etc, its nothing new.. just sticking with what worked the first time round

i loved the first game.. acctually played it and kept it bought the DLC. but sounds like its gonna be another lazy rehash with a few extra weapons/ new city?
i found the first game way too easy with the right weapons though..

i hope the annoucer comes back he was one of the good parts of that game.

Do not ask me a stupid question MINIXXXXX. I know you could create your character so to speak. However, the lead off character that they showed was not this person. This is what I am referencing. So you must be delirious.

I know I'm in the minority, but I really hope they don't add different kinds of missions to this game. I actually preferred the way Crackdown was set up where you never had to "trigger" missions. It worked perfectly for co-op.

It's such a PITA in other co-op games like Mercs 2 to constantly have to be like "what do you feel like doing now, should we go start this mission?". In Crackdown it was perfect, you could just run around screwing around in the city, and then if you happened to wander across a boss and his henchmen you could go after them, quit in the middle of fighting to them, etc with no penalty.

Can the main character models just be a bit better this time. I always stuck with the guy that looked like Mr. T (without the Mohawk.)
