Owners of the Rock Band Stage Kit must accept that the device will not be compatible with The Beatles: Rock Band. Harmonix has confirmed to Joystiq that there are "no plans to patch it for The Beatles: Rock Band." As to whether the device will be compatible with future editions of Rock Band, a company rep stated, "We haven't announced any future titles at this time."
There's been some back and forth on the Rock Band forums about whether the smoke machine and disco ball-ish device -- originally $100 (but cheaper now) -- would be patched into The Beatles game. We hope this settles it -- not that you have a choice, apparently.
[Thanks, Jeremy F]

I didn't even know this shit existed. What's the point in having this anyways when it comes to the Beatles. We all know they used completely different smoke machines.

I'm willing to bet Reign's post was a joke but at least MystileArmor was there to ruin it with his incredible wit.

Sarcasm detector is broken... actually it just ran out of batteries, since I used all of 'm for my smoke machine and disco ball.

Still not cheap enough.
I think the best part about that accessory though is that the lights actually pulsate to the rhythm of the song you're playing.

The only special effects you need are LSD and Dreamscapes.

I picked up on that error also Mystile, but before I corrected him I thought to myself, "Do we really expect someone tripping on LSD to get 100% on vocals?"

Yeah... I downvoted myself. Right after I posted it, I realized how dumb that was.

Is Harmonix planning on selling me an authentic Rock Band Roadie, who lives in the corner of my living room, ready to set up my fake stage at a moments notice? Am I gonna need the official Rock Band Road Van/Equipment Trailer to start carting all this crap to a friends house to rock out?

It wasn't intended to be taken seriously. It was a joke.
But in any case, they licensed it out, so they're still involved.

I shat on this when it was first announced as well but did some research on it in the hopes of outshining my friend's rival GH setup. The smoke machine kinda sux b/c the smoke liquid will run out in 30 min. but the lights are synchronized with the music, makin the experience a lil cooler. When this hits $40, I'm so gettin it..

I LOVE the Stage Kit. I recently had a Rock Band party and a lot of the guests thought it was a neat touch. The lights on the machine sync up with the lights going on in game, so its pretty neat.
I only expected the Stage Kit to not work with The Beatles.

I won't buy it either then. I was going to but it pisses me off when they don't make everything work with all their future products. Like why do I have to keep buying the same songs for each new installment of the game for DLC? It should all be portable once you've bought it. And PS3 instrument compatiblity is a joke between GH and RB.
