CAKE. Yes, please. I would choose The Distance, Never There, and Short Skirt/Long Jacket, if it's a three-pack. They're the best known songs, so less hipster cachet, but all three are awesome. And Short Skirt would be the best to play IMO.

yick on all counts... But the last few weeks have been great for me, so hoorah for all those who love these bands

Its funny that Anvil came up though. I was actually thinking about them today and can not, for the life of me, figure this band out.
I mean, its obvious that they are just terrible, (ok that's my opinion). Granted they have their niche audience and have had them for a long damn time. The thing about them is how many bands have pointed to them as this amazing inspiration to their own work. Metallica comes to mind specifically because of the huge success those guys have had... and yet they still left Anvil in the dust.
Seems to me, if Anvil was so good that the boys in Metallica were inspired by them... they should be something other than legend. Not to mention, with the money Metallica is bringing in, why wouldnt they throw Anvil a bone and get them on their label?

Oh and to the people saying GH over RB... baw hahahahahah
Sure, GH has a lot of the same songs as RB, but you have to switch disks 40 times to play them all (I am not the only person who enjoys having over 800 songs to play without EVER switching disks), they dont have nearly as many good songs (never mind GREAT songs) as RB, the graphics would only look good if you held them up to Atari in the 80s, and the gameplay overall is utterly shit.
The best thing anyone can say about GH (?which version this year?) is that the stock drums are better than the stock RB drums. But many people (including myself) gladly invested in Ion's drum kit (even if only for the brain module) which is (hands down) the best music game peripheral on the market (add the Roland KD8 and VH-11 like I did and you are playing a REAL drum kit). Due to this FACT, Activision's poorly produced, overly saturated pile of dogshit has NOTHING on Harmonix's ever growing (thats one game getting bigger, not one name spreading thin) masterpiece.

Tribute. I wish they also brought to the game Belzeeboss, then I could be happy with RB DLC for quite six months..

Dinosaur Jr.'s The Wagon??!? OH MY FUCK!

So stoked for this. Hopefully we'll see some old school Sonic Youth down the road as well.

I'm thrilled to see Anvil finally show up. "Anvil: The Story of Anvil" is easily one of the best rock documentaries ever. Knowing how much they've struggled, seeing them turn up in Rock Band is pretty damn cool.

Would "Rock Your Socks" be the first classical acoustic (at least the Bach section) in the RB library?

Technically the Wii is still missing 7 tracks to have a true sync.

"Limelight" Rush

"Working Man" Rush
"Promised Land" Vesuvius
"Charlene (I'm Right Behind You)" Stephen and the Colberts
"Real World" The All-American Rejects

Gah! Where's No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature?

Also, I would have loved to see one of the epic tracks from the new Dino Jr album.

Otherwise, this is a pretty solid week.

Nice work on the Tenacious D though! :P
