Also, there hasn't been any good games since Zelda TP. So take it for what it is....a lack luster console with a garbage library of games. Wii sucks.

You;re right. Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart, Brawl, Wii Sports Resort, and the Conduit are all horrible games. What was I thinking by spending hours upon hours enjoying them?

I though you were an idiot after your first post, but this one proved it.

I figured everyone would ignore this guy because he wears his biases so boldly on his sleeves, the name itself tells ya this guy isn't going to contribute anything useful to the conversation, since he declares himself to be part of the problem.

Us old farts have been around long enough to know a fad when we see one.

We've survived the Cabbage patch kids, Reeses Pieces sales, rolled-up pants, Smurfs, parachute pants, POGS, oat bran, Atkin's Diet, people buying giant trucks and hauling around air, FMV games... and now the Wii.

Well, we're bringing all the dumb anti-Wii trolls out today.

Good thing Killjebus was banned.

The NES, SNES, Genesis, N64, Playstation, etc etc. All consoles that aren't selling anymore. I mean, if they weren't a fad, people would be buying them forever!

The only think you can mean is that motion controls are a fad, though now that both Microsoft and Sony are coming out with them, that doesn't seem to be the case, either.

Most of you old farts are also stubborn as a mule and rather un-fun in parties.

...... and honestly, no one wants to be stuck in an elevator with an old fart.

PS- I got nothin' against old farts.
Quite a fan of them actually.

Just not a fan of the old farts that claim they exude the smell of all-true knowledge...
...that's not what that smell is.

point one does not make sense, how can the biggest selling system this generation be niche? it's a contradiction.

The Wii isn't selling most likely because everyone who wanted one already has one. The price cut is just there to pull in those who are on the fence.

I bought a Wii two and a half months ago. At the same time I bought a Wii Fit package (rechargable battery, feet, and a silcone cover). IMO the one thing Nintendo could do to boost sales would be to make up an attractive package with the Wii Fit Plus software and the board along with the console.

Another thought would be to sell the darn thing with TWO remotes, including the Motion Sensor Plus for each one. Before mine even arrived I picked up a remote, with Wii Play (which sux, IMO) so I'd have two when it arrived.

Since I purchased mine TWO people bought a Wii and the Wii Fit package after coming over and using mine a few times. It's an easy console for people to get into, not just mainline gamers.

I'm finding that I'm still doing my main gaming on my PC although I did get Zelda: TP and Little King's Story for the Wii and are enjoying those plus the first episode of the Monkey Island series (some nostalgia there for me). Oh, and yeah I picked up good old Super Mario Bros. from the VC (more nostalgia) and went out and bought the VC controller. Nintendo got a good chunk of $$$ from me the past few months!

I'll also add that even with the price drop on the other two consoles I don't regret my Wii purchase. The main things I'm doing on my Wii I can't do on the other two.

I will get one just like I got a gamecube. When the bundle price comes down to 100 dollars. Impulse buy, and a few good games, but nothing I'm dying to play for 250 at the moment.

Have one bundle with Metroid Prime Trilogy. Have another for Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort (with 2 remotes, each with a Motionplus).

A bundle with Super Mario Galaxy would be good too.

@the Wii console phenomenon:

I hereby declare this fad to be officially o-v-e-r.

That is all. I still play Ocarina of Time on Gamecube, though.
