We knew that GRIN was working on a project in conjunction with Square-Enix titled Fortress at the time of its closure -- however, the portfolio of Bionic Commando lead character designer Björn Albihn offers a look at a few more of the studio's games which might have been. In addition to concepts from Fortress, the art collection includes a look at a spaghetti-western shooter called The Cult, a PSP game called Switch and a number of character models from an untitled project.
All the models look amazing -- particularly the designs for The Cult. Though the smiling developer has closed its doors, we certainly hope these projects will see the light of day in some form or another.

he's also blinded and confused, swinging his weapon at friend and foe alike, not dissimilar to the poison AC2

FFX is fun to get max stats on. I remember by the time I got to the final fight with Seymour Kimahri killed him in 2 hits.
Also, their unannounced project was supposed to be a Final Fantasy game or spin-off, so it makes sense that the iconic Marlboro would make an appearance.
Perhaps next someone will uncover images of a Coeurl or a Cactuar.

FFX is almost a decade old already. There's nothing left to spoil.

Would it have been better if I said KO'd him? It's what I was thinking, but killed just seemed more fitting considering the way most battles go. Most monsters and/or bosses "die" after you win against them in victory.

Sorry guys, it's malboro, not marlboro. I've slayed thousands of those things. They're in just about every final fantasy game, and they usually have a lot exp. I used to call them marlboros too.

It depends on which game you're playing, actually. You aren't wrong, but you're certainly a jerk for telling us that we are.

Kind of reminds me of the Marlboro from Final Fantasy.
Except value-sized.

Click on the "GRIN" tag link in the article, three articles down:

That was a sad day.
Also, since you've been out of the loop: the above link links to an article from earlier that same afternoon where they talk about ex-GRIN staffers forming "Outbreak Studios":

Now you know as much as I do. :D (

Dude, you are staring at a fucking still.... for all you know it wasn't even part of a game.
I bet you were one of the people that already bitched about Transformers, when the only thing released was a teaser trailer with the logo in it.

I suppose you have a point, although I still think you can't judge a game by a couple of still images.

I agree you can't judge a game by it's single screen shots. Terminator Salvation had some cool screen shots. Bionic Commando?? Need I say more. GRIN closed down because they had a lackluster track record in the sales department. It's all business. If you don't have the capital to keep your company running it falls.

Art can look as cool as it wants. It's when you pick up the controller and attempt to play the game that anything matters. And after Grin's 3 strikes, they were out.
