I couldn't wait. I figured that I already had it pre-ordered and it's already paid for, and I do own a flashcart for homebrew and music, so...

Please downvote me as punishment for my impatience.

I'd just like to report that the title screen is totally living up to the hype. I've had epic battles with ninjas and robots and dragons already.

'Lucky North East Americans', you mean.

You act as if the states were united in the joy of NYC's early release date.

..... as if the states were ever united in the first place.

You still get it earlier than we in EU.

9 Oct for EU, 25 Sept for USA.

I often forget the size of other countries btw. :P

The ROM is on an official DS cart of 32MB, however once trimmed the actual usable data is 26MB. Now mind you that is small however 5th Cell has been able to do amazing things with all of their games, which by the way all use 32MB carts! Just think Scribblenauts, Lock's Quest, Drawn to Life, Drawn to Life: SpongeBob SquarePants Edition have all been reviewed at aprox. 8/10 with such a small cart size. And their next game, which hasn't drawn any hype due to the release of Scribblenauts, is Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter which is coming out on October 27th. Just one month away!

You have to remember that 5th Cell's graphics are charming but really aren't that detailed or intricate. All of 5th Cell's games are 2d with simple animations; they don't include any voice-work or in-game vids, and most involve sub-par plots (barring Lock's Quest). Yet we love them because they blend gaming with innovation in such an amazing way. I've been playing Scribblenauts for over 4 hours and I haven't even started the game yet! I've just been creating ultimate death-matches and odd occurrences. Bravo 5th Cell, Bravo! And on the topic of ROMs, buy the game so they can continue to make more of them!
