Reminder: Early Scribblenauts launch today at Nintendo World NYC

The 5th Cell team should be on hand for autographs (hopefully for longer than an hour) and demos of the game. Scribblenauts will allegedly only be sold between 11AM-2PM, so take that into consideration. If you're reading this post from the line at Nintendo World, feel free to let us know how long the queue is in the comments.

I swear to god I will rip off the balls of the first person that mentions the ROM.
*rips off own balls*
Anyway, wish i could be in America so I could BUY it early...
Gotta wait till 30th of September here in Aus.
WRYYYYYY @ Sep 13th 2009 12:25PM

Sly Cooper, Attorney at Law @ Sep 13th 2009 1:03PM
the ROM is awesome.
Platy @ Sep 13th 2009 1:24PM
Quoting a friend who got it "if i was a rom i would be ashamed to be at the same size of the latest Imagine ds game"
Toasty @ Sep 13th 2009 9:37AM
Gawd, Joystiq - put up a fucking spoiler tag, ferchrissake!
Now EVERYONE knows there's a dog, boombox, and bicycle in the game.
Gee, thanks, assholes.
Special Agent Steve @ Sep 13th 2009 9:45AM
They are SOOOOO inconsiderate. Jerks.
copa @ Sep 13th 2009 12:24PM
Yeah, thanks, assholes. I was reading through the full 22,802 word list for the game:
http://rush68.net/u/files/scribfull.txt
and I had only made it up to "Bibliognost".
I really can't motivate myself to go any further now that I already know Bicycle is coming next.
esposch @ Sep 13th 2009 9:37AM
Wonder what it's Metascore will be...
Mario & Luigi RPG 3's is currently 94!
I'm buying both. :D
Special Agent Steve @ Sep 13th 2009 9:47AM
It actually got a 7.75 and 8.75 from Game Informer. It's not bad, but I don't know if it'll reach a 94 on Metacritic- but screw reviews, this game's going to be awesome and I'm going to enjoy the crap out of it.
Ossot @ Sep 13th 2009 10:01AM
Probably great if people judge the first 10mins of play time. Don't get me wrong, the game *looks* awesome. In theory. Until you play it and realize if you your imagination was that much fun to be alone with you wouldn't be playing a video game in the first place.
esposch @ Sep 13th 2009 10:05AM
I was talking about Bowser's Inside Story having the Metascore of 94 - Scribblenauts isn't even listed yet (although I have contacted them about it). But anyway, this game will be A-W-E-S-O-M-E. And if it isn't I will take advantage of EB Games Australia's "if you don't like this game bring it back within 2 weeks and get a refund" policy - which slightly makes up for the ridiculous cost of games from there. :D
Anti-Villian @ Sep 13th 2009 9:46AM
the game doesn't have the word 'crpyt', what's up with that?
Raylon @ Sep 14th 2009 6:46PM
Uhhm, maybe 'cause that's not a real word?
Premature ejaculation man @ Sep 13th 2009 10:02AM
I was hoping fhwdgads would be in there along with crpyt too ;p
MowDownJoe @ Sep 13th 2009 10:04AM

It IS a real world. Where do you think Crypt Fiends come from, DIPSHIT*!? :P
*This is an in joke you will not get, but still it is a rude word in all caps. Laugh anyway mmkay?
Michelobius @ Sep 13th 2009 10:10AM
Spelling fail.
RobLink (Alex Kidd incarnate) @ Sep 13th 2009 10:25AM
Crypt Fiends come from crypts. Not sure what a crpyt is though...
Anti-Villian @ Sep 13th 2009 10:42AM
you all suck! i hate you! go die in a crpyt~!
word to yo mother
Omega2k3 @ Sep 13th 2009 10:58PM
Yeah, guys, Crpyt is a real world. I've been there. It's not so great.
Anti-Villian @ Sep 14th 2009 3:12AM
This is ridiculous, I was voted down? and esposch too, why? over a typo?
well in my first post i meant 'crypt', I get the jokes but what's with the voting around here?
esposch @ Sep 14th 2009 3:25AM
Omega, you just won at the internets. :D
PR0F3TA (PSN - PROPHETA) @ Sep 13th 2009 10:05AM
I LIVE IN NYC!!... well, brooklyn, does that count? I don't own a DS though. Hope the sales warrant a Touch version tho
Special Agent Steve @ Sep 13th 2009 10:08AM
Can you get me an autograph?
Rhamsey @ Sep 13th 2009 10:24AM
This is one of those games I can easily see come to and work well on the ipod touch (and maybe the zune hd if I'm lucky).
Jimbo @ Sep 13th 2009 10:19AM
Comic sans. Ew.
Dan @ Sep 13th 2009 11:08AM
Glad I'm not the only one on this thread who thought that.
Vidikron @ Sep 13th 2009 12:40PM
Most people don't give a shit about fonts.
Platy @ Sep 13th 2009 1:25PM
The game can't be perfect =P
Einhanderkiller @ Sep 13th 2009 3:05PM
Many people do give a shit about fonts.
AvA (ice~) @ Sep 13th 2009 3:44PM
best font on the planet is Resurrection
btw, i wish I woke up earlier and read this...I could have made it to ninty world :[
Sly (PSN: SniperChameleon) @ Sep 13th 2009 4:16PM
why do people care about fonts?
Rhamsey @ Sep 13th 2009 10:22AM
NYC is so close yet so far. Not really worth the 2 and a half hour drive there, although I really want this game. But if I am to go I need to go now. Oh what will I do.
Special Agent Steve @ Sep 13th 2009 10:49AM
Go GO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!
And bring me a copy too.
captainprotonx @ Sep 13th 2009 10:43AM
Tuesday I'm hitting TRU for the $15 gift card deal.
Bravo to TRU for true incentives for launch purchases. Got me to get Batman.
Who says no-one wins in a recession?
Luke @ Sep 14th 2009 10:19AM
Me too bro, I'm gonna buy an action replay with that money, so I can have unlimited Items on screen at once!
I can't wait to give god a suit, with sunglasses and a fedora while he wields a battle axe on a Chinese dragon!
Rock Fistpump @ Sep 13th 2009 10:47AM
This game looks great but am I the only one to think it's received an incredible amount of hype?
Yeah I know, "welcome to the video game industry."
SoshiKitai @ Sep 13th 2009 8:10PM
There's a million other people that would agree with you.
The only reason why it gets as much hype as it does, is because it does what most other games could never do: Make you un-bored even if you were bored with it.
AndyF @ Sep 13th 2009 10:48AM
@Ossot That's a really good point that I never considered. Will people with less creative imaginations pan this game? Straight forward play (like always using a ladder where appropriate, or a helicopter, or, worse, just copying what they've seen in the ads) might become boring to them.
Since I never bother to stop using my imagination (so awkward in mixed company) I have no doubts that it will be incredible. For the tree puzzle I plan to attach bologna to a squirrel then generate an overweight Shriner to chase it up the tree. :-b
@Rhamsey I know! I'm in the same boat and about the same distance.
bosstoneska @ Sep 13th 2009 11:13AM
I would totally go, but you haven't listed the PATH as a way to get there.
Hoboken: Entirely more a borough of NYC than Staten Island. I mean, come on, you don't need to take the damned ferry to get here.
B3astofthe3ast @ Sep 13th 2009 3:05PM
PATH costs 2 bucks tho, while the ferry is free, lol.
Cheesus(Crust) @ Sep 13th 2009 11:27AM
Might get this, but I haven't touched my DS Since FF:Tactics2
whylekat @ Sep 13th 2009 11:33AM
Damn if only I knew this before telling my grandma I'd take her out to lunch!
Special Agent Steve @ Sep 13th 2009 11:54AM
(Kill her....)
*whistle* What? I didn't say anything.
whylekat @ Sep 13th 2009 12:26PM
I'm in the will. All eyes would point right to me....
deaftly @ Sep 13th 2009 11:52AM
Playing it now, why was this hyped again?
Special Agent Steve @ Sep 13th 2009 11:55AM
What... does that mean?
If you don't like it, type in God and Kraken. And shotgun.
MRLN the Amazing @ Sep 13th 2009 1:23PM
I did that, but God became so overpowered that I had to chain him to a mountain.
Meh @ Sep 13th 2009 4:03PM
"If you don't like it, type in God and Kraken. And shotgun." This is fun for like 5 seconds. Then you run out of memes.
SoshiKitai @ Sep 14th 2009 3:14AM
Then instead of memes, just try...... creative thinking! :O
You know, make up your own ideas instead of taking popular ones.
