Eh, to be honest I'd rather see another Batman game. One where he can roam around the city and explore different locations. I loved AA, but I think they can make the series even better.

But yeah, Superman would be cool too.

I picked this game up a couple of days ago... Wow, it is awesome. Add into it free download content and it just solidifies a deserving spot on the game of the year roster.

I read somewhere that the combat challenge is actually a survival mode with endless enemies to fight.

OMG I would love that. I can't get my combo meter past 50 because the fight usually ends ;___;

I would love to see just how far I can go.

The best time I found to get the 50 is near the end when all those goons are lined up for the "party". You can fight them if you want, and by then you should have that upgrade that gives you x2 for every hit past the first 4 or so.

Wasn't the "'dem bones" challenge map a survival style endless enemy fight against scarecrows henchmen?

Yes, the "Dem Bones" challenge map had unlimited characters, they came in waves. That'd be great if you could fight like 20-30 people at once!

I don't think any of it needs to be given a rest. It's all relevant gaming info. It's not Joystiq's fault that you don't like every game out there.

You're going to have to avoid gaming sites in general if you don't want to hear about popular games like Batman: AA all the time. People vote with their wallets, those games have been selling like crazy, and common sense says there's more people out there that want to hear about those games than other games.

Does this game grow on you the more you play it? The reason I asked is because I picked up the collectors edition at launch and put it up for my son for Christmas. To make a long story short, this past weekend we were sitting around the house bored and I decided to break it out for him (doing really well in school so far). Without giving away any spoilers the opening sequence was cool and the combat was nice but I was bored almost to sleep.

I was reading everyones comments on Joystiq which led to us playing it now instead of waiting but I wasn't that impressed. It may be the fact that I stayed in Detective Mode and was trying to find as many Riddler clues as I could that led to the boredom. My son is 7 and he really likes it (especially the challenge stuff) but has trouble finding his way around and which way to go next. We still haven't finished the game yet (I think I'm at about 28% and he is at about 18%).

Anyway I still think it was well done for a "comic book" "Hero" type of game but I was expecting a lot more. As far as the DLC I really dig the Scarecrow levels and would like to see some more of those come out. Also on the Challenge mode select screen it looks like there could be more room to add some more characters other than the Joker and Batman.

*Forgive the long post and continue enjoying the game.*

Opposite for me, I liked it better at the beginning, these boss fights where they also throw 20 dudes at you get very frustrating for me.

I loved every second of it.

Don't get too hung up on the Riddler Challenges though. You can complete them anytime. You can even continue searching for them after you finish the story.

Oh man I loved that part! Fighting thugs while dealing with bane or the titans.. Added such a viceral batman feel when I would vault over a baddie's shoulders effectively 'pushing' him towards a charging bane or giant piece of flying stone ripped from the wall.

And that is so batman! Why waste his own energy when the villians can get caught up hitting each other. Fantastic!

@ Kdiggy

That's true, although doing as many of the Riddler challenges available as soon as you can helps you level up faster, which lets you use more of the upgrades earlier in the story instead of waiting til the end to collect and complete everything.

I haven't started my run-through on Hard mode yet, but that's how I'll be making it a little bit easier on myself.

i actually found Hard mode easier to just breeze through it. I only did the challenge's that i came across naturally and just tried to blaze through the main quest. It's really not hard at all, the only difference really is higher damage taken and no counter attack warning
