Doublesix chalks higher Burn Zombie Burn sales up to Firmware 3.00

According to Doublesix studio head James Brooksby, the PS3 start-up screen has always had a "40 inch advertising space waiting to be used," and that the introduction of the What's New menu is "a major step forward for the entire industry and the digital distribution sector." Obviously, Brooksby completely overlooked the true highlight of the console's latest update: The sparkles. Oh God, the sparkles!

Why upvoting someone that spent 2.99 on a THEME? If it were 0.99 OK... but 3 bucks for a freaking theme? I'll wait it to come out on the Next Qore issue...

@Ashkental: Lol, I had 20 bucks, bought Fat Princess and spent the remainder on the theme and an ATHF episode.
I actually haven't regretted spending the $3 like I thought I would, I like it a lot.

Because it was his decision and money to pay for it so WTF man? I would get it too if I had the money on my account. It might be a lot of money to you especially because it's digital content, but that doesn't mean it wasn't worth it for him/her. Once you put in money (with PSN card) you can't get it back, so this is definitely worth it for being a small purchase, especially if you like themes. Of course .99 cents is is better=cheaper but that's not the case, so keep hating.
BTW have you seen a moving theme on any device before? Didn't think so. It's fucking badass. Sackboy FTW!!111!

I guess I don't exactly hate the update, I coulda did without the sparkles tho kinda gay.but they really need to make the menu more alive. Staus updates that actually tell you what your friends are doing ect....

You can switch back the old default dash if you don't like the sparkles. That's one of the few changes they actually allow you to undo.
I kind of like the sparkles myself.

It's nice to see that the less hardcore gamer will respond to the What's New section. I myself turned that thing off from being the startup screen within minutes of installing 3.00.
Hopefully stories like this will also help continue the Sony trend of quality vs. quality on PSN (and if a big PS1 classic is up there, convince them to put a bigger rush on releasing that stuff).

the what's new is fine. the playstation store icon's every is a bit excessive. hopefully at some point you'll be able to customize what you put in your "what's new" feed.
I enjoy burn, but i hope there is more than some new levels otherwise I probably won't get it. Well, actually I probably will get it, but i'll be in denial about it until I actually buy it. I probably won't get it.

I've played Uncharted for 20+ hours since 3.00 with no problems. Also, Sony just announced that 3.01 (out now?) will fix the error. Go buy it.

Last I checked you pay for the 360 service. If you paid 50$ for PSN, it'd be hell of a lot better than xbox's.

Word is the problem was found last week. The fix was tested at Sony last weekend. Assuming it passed testing, it should hit the internets any second now.

The What`s New section is good but a lot of people were not happy with the new friend list look. I personally liked the upper corner where it shows how many friends are online and shows the un-read messages. The sparkles is good too.
I started to miss that sound when you run a game btw.
