Hmm...seems interesting, but I just sold my Wii recently. I'll wait to try it out when I can afford to buy another one by Christmas maybe.

I sold it because I had to make a car payment. I'd rather not have a repossession on my credit report.

It's nice to know that people are so presumptuous.

No really. Pay Pal me the shipping costs and you will have a used Wii, one wiimote, and Wii Sports in perfect condition on the way to you by Friday. I'm not kidding. I feel bad for you and I get absolutely no use out of it so why not give it to someone who will actually enjoy it?

Could'nt you recommend game before? I remember doing it a few times on my Wii and the choices were all the same.

I believe you could only do it via Nintendo's site before, which would explain the Super Mario Galaxy recommendation I had in there from forever ago.

You could. I remember using the slider all the time to extend the drum roll. Life would be so much better with drum rolls everywhere.

actually, Wii recommendations have been there from the start, but the DS recommendations are new. It's interesting cause it needs to send an app to the DS, which sends the name of the game currently in the DS to the Wii.

Yeah, you could always recommend Wii games that you'd played for more than one hour on the Nintendo Channel, but being able to recommend DS games is new.

The new nintendo channel look better, but it need to have more of a variety of DS demos besides just games from nintendo ie: (brain age, cooking, etc) and some of the good DS demos that they have had on the nintendo channel need to be up longer than 1 week. It would also be nice if they had demos of wii games also but its not looking like that will happen since the onboard storage is 512mb and the highest SD card it will read is 2gb and some demos might take the entire SD card storage space.

Actually, you can use a 32 GB SD card since Update 4.

As noted you can use big SD cards (though I only have a small one... 1GB or 2GB? Not sure). However they obviously can't rely on everyone having, say, 2GB free.

I don't think Nintendo would be into game demos even if people had enough space, because the experience is pretty appalling - on most connections downloads of 1GB+ take bloody ages (and I get the impression that WiiWare downloads for example are actually somewhat slower than my pathetic line speed ought to allow, too), and there's the additional problem that it can hog a broadband connection - if you've got a Wii for your kids, you probably don't want them to suddenly eat up the entire network for many hours...

Me too. Looks like I may stop running by games off a hard drive with the USB loader and run them off disc again since the Wii doesn't keep track of the games you play from within the USB Loader; only that you were in the USB Loader.

And no, I do not have any games installed that I do not own. They are all from my collection.

Favorites is actually a bookmark function so you can go back to game pages you put in there so you won't have to use the search function as much. Not exactly an interesting function, but I'm sure someone will find a use for it.

Awesome, I tried updating, but then my Wii decided to battle my computer for supremacy over the WiFi signal in the house.
Needless to say: They both lost.

... I'd configure the darn thing if I could find the darn manual I wrote that password in...

I'd be more than glad to take you up on your generous offer. However how do I know you're serious and not just scamming me? 2ndly...if so, I wouldn't be able to send you the money for shipping until I can scrounge up some cash. Most likely it will come from selling my Super Nintendo's (yeah I have 2), Super Mario All Stars, & Zelda LTTP (Both inlude original box).

Otherwise it's not until next week when I get my unemployment check. I'm getting an awesome (slightly used) Ikea desk from someone locally off of craigslist for $50. I can't wait to get my desk. My wife & I just moved back to NC from MI & right now my PC is set up on top of 3 rubber made totes. LOL

They could have improved this more by poaching Veronica Belmont from Sony, but apart from that, I need to check this up when I get back home at the weekend.

Huh? Gamer/Non-Gamer? Casual/Hardcore?!

Excuse me if I'm wrong, but I thought Nintendo's master plan was to break the barriers between these inelegant labels, and yet here we see them surrendering to them.

I'm sure everyone will agree that the whole hardcore/casual shit that goes on amongst fans ("lulz want moar hardcore games", "that game is sooo faq-sual, not playing") is stupid, so why are Nintendo using the terms when it goes against their supposed philosophy?

I enjoyed the adjective-labelling system they had in LBP, personally. Or a traditional star rating would be nice, (though will inevitably end up being biased, like all user-rating systems). This is just unhelpful.
