Tryin to use Home like it is eHarmony or something... Yeah, right. That's like going to into a whorehouse looking for a wife. (Reference?)

I can't imagine this being serious on the part of the person posting this on Craigslist, but even if so, damn... Solace is right. Desperate.

don't know if this is what you were going for but "Buying a used rental car is kind of like going to a house of ill repute looking for a wife. Anything that's been driven that hard by that many people, you really don't want to put your key in it." Jeff Foxworthy

Okay I have to comment on this because.. well it involves Craigslist and PlayStation Home.. I've used both before... Sadly, I used Craigslist to try to find a possible >outofreach< relationship.. Like I said, it was outofreach, meaning it didn't work xD Just a bunch of spam... But, this isn't about Craigslist... this is about PlayStation Home.. I, regretfully, will admit I've used PS Home to see if I could find 'maybe' a -friendship with benifits- type deal by just talking and seeing if there were any that are like me..

Now, with this said... I'm sure you all are like '0.0 are you aware of the danger?' Absolutely I'm aware of the danger of Online Dating. I'm only 22, but I've been involved in Online Dating Sites (failed) since I was 18... (Yes, I have a life xD But I never said my life was that fun) Anyways, when it comes to people advertising on PlayStation Home directly, I dissapprove completely! I do not want to be on PS Home just to get a bunch of spam saying, "HEY I'M 20 LOOKING FOR HOT FEMALE/MALE MODEL WHO WANTS TO HAVE FUN ON PLAYSTATION EYE" , I rather get on there and just chill out with people, make friends, talk about games.. The reason why PlayStation Home was Created.. The reason why I was apart of the first beta it started ;)

Now, when it comes to Craigslist, adding advertisements on Craigslist, suggesting to meet on Home is a FABULOUS idea... As long as when you meet that person(s), you meet them in your private home space. >.> Nothing is worse then having to run into the wrong chat at the wrong time in a PG rated area... Especially if some kid is 8 or 9 playing PlayStation home and two of them are talking about hooking up Sexually. No, if I caught that from ya, you would be reported instantly ;)

Though I'm sure you are aware of that.. I would love to see people start hooking up through PlayStation Home from Craigslist... There are risks involved because you can't tell what the person looks like > Using Private rooms allows you to be able to talk.. and your voice gives you (if you're a profiler like me) the ability to sketch their ideal looks and personality based on the tone of voice they use. My character on Home (You may add me as 'Caltosy' as my PSN ID) looks similar to what I look like in real life. I'm not skinny, I'm not pretty.. I don't need to be, I am who I am.... But when designing yourself in a virtual world, people prefer to look how they wish they looked.. Whether to gain more popularity, or perhaps just to get people's attention... But I rather take the punches people would throw out because of how I look on Home because it's similar as how I look in real life.

I rather not give people the impression that I look like this person >.> But when it comes down to it.. what if I want this person to actually meet me in real life? What if this person lives in the same town already? What if this person really does want to get more involved? Those are all possibilities in the Online Relationship world; however, disguizing yourself as someone who you are not but appear to be someone else will give those you meet the wrong impression... I find those who try to 'dress up as someone else' to actually be the -losers- in life because they are afraid of who they really are! Look at me, for instance! I am not good looking ;) But at least I'm not the loser here!

Anyways, this isn't about being a loser, or about popularity.. This is about finding ad's on the PS Home from Craigslist.. I dissaprove ad's on Craigslist, but I HONORABLY suggest those who have a PS3, and use Craigslist, to create an ad to meet people on Craigslist... It's a great way to meet people; but also, again, very risky.. You don't know who the other person is... And those who answer the ads on Craigslist knows very well the rules and guidelines when stepping foot there.. You have absolutely no clue if the person really is who he/she says they are on their ad, or even whether the ad is an attempt to steal your Identity.

These are my two cents worth, folks ;) No I'm not a reporter, Joystiq, but it would be a great honor to become one, one day! (Pardon the spelling, I just woke up)

You may have good luck finding love in a library. There are many more words than even what you wrote above there... If there's a female in there, she might be interested!

It's not a matter of being conned, or a matter of being a loser, Jonathan. I am speaking on behalf of the majority of this generation. Considering the current circumstances with this economy, many more people every day rely on their friendships and relationships on the computer... even if they know who they are in real life, they still rely on meeting them online. It's why Social Networking sites are created. It's why Social Networking games are made. It's why we have all the features added to make this a possibility. As it once was a possibility is now part of life..

If you would like the complete downfall of this, then I perhaps seeking another blog, on another website, that focuses on this particular topic.. However, let's stick with just 'PlayStation Gaming' and 'Social Interactivity within Gaming.' - It's the best way to go, kid ;)
