As the trailer points out, the diode-packing DJs will also be mashing their music up with tracks from No Doubt, Young MC and Gary Numan, to name a few. Now, if you'll excuse us, we've got to get back to work on our DJ Hero playing robot.

Tron 2 soundtrack heading your way next year, courtesy Daft Punk.
The only thing I heard was that Bangalter's hearing was starting to go, tinnitus (ringing in your ears)... That could bring everything to a halt. But he seems to have addressed it and is taking better care of his hearing (not DJing as much, etc.).

Sadly it's the truth. They are the old guard of techno and electronic music. It's not pleasant, but it's the truth. Hopefully they will still be spinning live long enough for me to see them once.

I really don't wanna buy this game, but damn the inclusion of Daft Punk is making it crazy hard to maintain this view...

Sorry, uh, whoever made this game, but my utter hatred of anything to do with hip hop vastly outweighs my love of Daft Punk.

I have to admit, none of the mixes I've heard really excite me much. But even with that said I still think that the controller could make it a fun experience, even with tracks I wouldn't listen to for fun.
And then just to be a downer again, unfortunately this is just way too pricey for my budget. Especially with the good games coming out round this general period.

I just can't get over how many Daft Punk fans read joystiq.
No one I know listens to them, they never heard of them. When I mention Daft Punk they look at me like I have horns coming out of my head.
Can't wait for the Tron 2 soundtrack!
Life goal: go see daft punk live.

Oh wow I really want to hear a full length proper mix of those two songs now!
I absolutely LOVE Robot Rock even though I rarely listen to anything else from Daft Punk and putting it with We will rock you is just awesome.
Great trailer for probably the stupidest game ever.

the mix wasn't half bad, at least by mash up standards and we all know those are usually pretty low. Have heard some mash up gems though but I dont really consider them 'mixes'.
used to think daft punk was great and I had assumed they sampled some funk to make their music - I'm ok with that when the samples are used like instruments and props..
Didn't expect to see that they stole huge chunks of riffs.. what tha hell.. remake something at least reference the original title. --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVVfZAZdIUs
Their album 'Alive' is both one of the greatest pieces of music and the most hilarious joke. They took their songs made by stealing from others, then mixed them together to make one huge regurgitating mess LOL.

Smart move on Activision part to get Daft Punk on board maybe they can get Adam Freeland to lend a hand as well.

DJ Hero: Daft Punk plz
Don't care for DJ Hero in general. Do care for Daft Punk. Will love a Daft Punk focused version.

I'm still not sold... though the gameplay is starting to look interesting.
If A) the game lets players mix their own tracks, or
B) they get Justice on board for some hot Justice x Daft Punk action...
then Activision will definitely have my attention (fingers crossed someone up there actually reads this drivel)

Justice is on board..... I just haven't heard of any Daft V Justice tracks in DJ Hero yet. The track I did hear of is mixed with boom boom pow.

When did everyone suddenly jump on the Daft Punk bandwagon? Homework was great, but Discovery was a collection of completely stolen songs. I mean, there's sampling a loop or whatever, but they straight up stole whole arrangements; they should be ashamed to be putting their name on the cover.

It's more than a sample but less than a remix. Would you be offended by either of those? A real dance music fan is going to listen to remixes a lot of the time rather than original songs. They're not going to take offense at what you (are pretending to?) take offense to because they recognize incorporation of others' music into your own visions as one of the most important ideals in the music world.

What they did is neither sampling nor remixing; they simply took credit for other people's work and that doesn't push music forward in any way whatsoever.

...for the same price as Dj Hero+game system+controllers, you could buy the $800 Serato Itch and be a real DJ. so sez Randy of South Park....

That mix was frickin horrible. There is no way Daft Punk made that mix.
"We will, we will, ROBOT ROCK, you" God I threw up a little.
I played the video hoping for something amazing and listened to something truly horrible with a pretty damn good video. But any video with Daft Punk helmets is going to be cool.

Does anyone else see Ulala dancing in the background at roughly 24 seconds, or am I going crazy?
