There you go again McElroy, "But jeez, could the timing be any worse?", how is the timing worse? Is there a split screen mode we don't know about that requires two controllers, or do you think everyone who bought a counterfit white DS3 controller threw away their original ones?

As of this update, I cant get into the PlayStation Store. Keeps saying I'm not in the correct country/region. Did Texas finally join Mexico??

I to have a 60gig launch PS3 and it YLOD about two months ago. I have since bought a new slim unit, but I'm aggrivated at losing $600. I'll try to re-flow it and get it working again. I hope my new slim lasts longer than the expensive one.

I have a 60GB PS3. Which was working fine before 3.0 update. Madden required 3.0 so I upgraded. Madden froze and MLB 09 the Show froze. Also, very briefly the system would not recognize any of my Sony controllers or my Sony remote control for Blu-Rays. Upgraded to v3.01 and still had the same issues. Plus Blu-Ray movies are now freezing or not recognized. I refuse to pay any money for repairs that were caused by Sony's REQUIRED firmware update that apparently is the cause. This is not an isolated issue as others are reporting the same issues.
