Im going to go ahead and assume that "the Rookie" is the new hero and all that jazz... But is "the Rookie" going to get a (new, or other) name by the end of the game?
"The Rookie" just doesnt have the same "Im going to stomp your face in and teabag it" effect that "Master Chief" does.
Besides, he cant be a rookie forever, if this is in fact going to become a new mutli-titled IP.

well, they said Reach will be their last Halo game, and although they've said similar things before, i cant really see them going back to ODST after Reach, especially since the vidocs of ODST seem to suggest the ending will have more than a little finality to it

Video IS available now and because of this video, I NOW want to play ODST. I wasn't even on the fence before but now, I'm on the complete other side of it.
I can't wait to play this. This game seems like what I was hoping Halo 2 was going to progress into!

but what i hate, is that they're added the cliche-as-fuck overused BLOOD RED shit that invades the screen when you get hit. It's fucking obnoxious and has been done to death. It's like the game is typing IN ALL CAPS. HEY BUDDY - YOU JUST GOT FUCKIN HIT. JUMP THE FUCK BACK!!!! With a short campaign, i'll be playing on legendary fairly quickly, and seeing that shit every 5 seconds is going to make me sick...not only is it annoying, it destroys the beauty of the textures and environments...

Yeah I don't really care about no dual wielding. And taking out the BR is fine by me, we still have the carbine and the new pistol looks awesome. Plus they put the red plasma rifle back, hopefully it still eats through shields like there's no tomorrow.

Well ODST is in my Gamefly Q....gotta send a game back by Thursday so they can get it by Saturday leaving a spot open for ODST to be sent out Monday....

Paul Bertone also doesn't like the battle rifle, and that's at least partially the reason why it isn't in ODST. This begs the question of whether it will be in Reach.

Well, i'm not a big halo fan. Halo 3 was fun but it got old too fast for me to truly enjoy the game. My co-worker has played Halo 3 ODST's new firefight mode and he says it's just feels like a whole new game. You're no longer a walking tank that can kill people as if through you were god. This game has gone from a rent to a buy for me. The hype train is in full speed! :O

Can't complain too much....I get to go to Greece for a week in October for work.
