Eurogamer reports -- and Sony Europe has confirmed with Joystiq as well -- that the long-awaited puzzle platformer, Trine, is set to arrive on the European PlayStation Store this week. It appears developer Frozenbyte may have finally worked out its quality assurance testing issues with Sony.
We've contacted Sony America and are still awaiting an official response about the PS3 version's release in North America. Keep an eye on this week's PSN Thursday updates for the final word.
Update: Sony America hasn't made an official statement; however, a member of developer Frozenbyte has stated on the company forum, "All I know is that US release is not tomorrow."
[Thanks, B. Wright]

such a good game. I played with keyboard/mouse though and I'm curious how it will control with the dual shock.
only the wizards boxes seem like they'd be an issue. the thief's grapple would be less awesome but manageable I think.

I can't comment on anything but the PC version, but I did try the gamepad controls in addition to keyboard+mouse. The controller I used was from a PS2. I feel like only the Wizard's controls were significantly more difficult to pull off quickly with the gamepad than mouse. The control scheme was:
all characters: L3 pad moves the character in a normal platformy way. Jumping and character switching are done with buttons.
Thief: her bow is aimed by pointing the R3 pad in the direction away from the center of her body you want her to shoot the arrow. Letting go fires. There is a separate grappling hook button that you can hit while aiming for a shot, and it fires in the direction R3 is being held.
Knight: his shield, when equipped, is directed by R3. Picking up objects and attacking are different buttons. After he picks up an object, the R3 pad can be pointed where you want him to throw it.
Wizard: the R3 pad is always used to control the cursor like an old-school laptop nipple-pointer. There are separate buttons for drawing an object for creation, destroying an object, grabbing and moving an object or rotating it.
Fun game! Playing cooperatively with another person adds another level of enjoyment, making some things harder and some things easier. The $30 I paid for it on Steam was a reasonable value, but most Nintendo DS adventure games offer a lot more hours of content for the same price... No DS game could ever match it for eye candy, though.

After that long ass wait, and the inevitable bugs to come, This should be a $15 title... unless they really think I can get more gameplay out of this than Fat Princess

Im not buying this. Since they are charging £18 for it. $20 is NOT £18! £18 is more like $35.

Do you buy your groceries in American dollars? What do you care what it costs in another country? If you like the American price, move to the US. Everything else will be cheaper too, you'll just make less of it.
A dollar is a dollar is a dollar is a pound. It all buys a coke.

I played the shit out of this game, however I definitely regret paying $35 for it. There are so many equally-fulfilling games out there for $25 (taking release dates into account) that it makes absolutely no sense why they tagged this one at $10 more (that may be because they listed everyone and their sister in the credits). This is definitely a must play, but personally I'd wait for the price drop...

Awesome! I definitely plan on getting this, so I hope it releases this Thursday and is priced reasonably ($20 or even $15). So, from what I've read about the PC version, I'm sure hoping there is offline co-op gameplay. Can anyone confirm that? I'm tired of so many great games having online-only co-op. For us married guys, it's tougher to coordinate online time between jobs and families. I like being able to play co-op with my daughter, too.
