"LBP >>>>> Banjo Kazooie "

What do those have to do with each other? Might as well compare Gears of war to Call of Duty.

I was looking into replacing my 80g for a slim, so I guess this will be it right here. All I know is that the words Sony and Secret don't go together.

It's hard to imagine needing 250 GB when you first purchase a console. Even the 20 GB 360 takes a little while to fill up, how long would it take to get anywhere near 250 GB on a console?

I have close to a hundred gigs of music on my PS3, over 30 PSN games, tons of game saves plus movies. It's really easy to fill up space on a system.

"With the content available on PSN, not too long."

Ok, ok, enough with the PR talk :P but really, if you want to take advantage of your PS3's entertainment possibilities and don't want to stream everything to your PS3 then you NEED all the extra storage you can get! Music, videos, films, demos, game installs are all going to take up a lot space.

And for example, you have some cool little things happening on the EU PSN store like Movement (a music show about unknown bands in five major European cities - Paris, Milan, Munich, London and Barcelona), Shoot! (short films, shot in HD, based on one of a number of words that capture the essence of PlayStation: Play, Create, Share, Connect, Discover and Challenge.) a lot of Dew Tour videos, etc. and they all take up from 100MB to 800MB...

But when you first get a system, I find it hard to believe you'd think you need that much memory. I recently upgraded my 80 GB stock drive to a 320GB, and I've had the PS3 about a year and a half. I can see how it fills up, but never thought it would when I bought the system. Of course, I could still just be living in the dark ages.

Yeah, but Banjo Kazooie focuses more on the gameplay, as LBP focuses more on the creating. Same as Gears and COD are both shooters, they are executed too differently.

Can't let you do that, Marius:

Now that's how you put a bundle together.

2009's runaway Game of the Year packed in with the most reliable current generation (lol Wii) console on the market today.

It will also prove to be a tremendous value:

Free online play.
The option to utilize wireless internet access without having to drop more cash on extra hardware.
Easily upgrade your hard drive up to 1TB without having to drop more cash on an unreasonably priced hard drive with a plastic shell around it.
Rechargeable controllers.
Blu-Ray.

Amazing bundle. Going to be a great holiday for Sony.

I mean, come on. I know it's a tired phrase to use, but you sound like a sales pitch. And weren't you just complaining about the 360's new model being desperate?

I really hope this is a joke account.

Like others have been hypothesizing, it would be much better for Sony to bundle MW 2 with the PS3 than it would be for Microsoft. After all, the Xbox 360 market is much more saturated than the PS3 market and having a new model and price drop is definitely going a long way towards this holiday season. It's almost stupid for Sony not to at least include the game, which would probably offset the custom 360 model and be less than the $400 price tag.

However, if a bundle is not announced through Sony, I'm sure there is some type of deal between Activision and MS considering that they seem to be awfully close with that temporary "exclusive" DLC map pack for the 360.

I think that's an exclusivity deal that Microsoft inked with Activision. MS has been making a lot of these exclusivity deals recently and it's beginning to show through the reports we have on Joystiq and everywhere else.

I agree that the DLC is overpriced, but the other stuff can't be helped. If you start allowing custom music and custom textures, files sizes are gonna fly through the roof.

It'll take several minutes to hours to download a single level, as opposed to a couple of seconds.

Yeah, but those camera textures are super-low res, and use up a lot of the thermometer. They have very limited use, which is why most people just stick to the pre-made stickers and materials.

If you're inventive, you can mix and match them to get some pretty cool effects.

In the same email there were SKUs for a 250GB PS3+Assasins Creed 2 bundle too.
It also said that the 250GB PS3 would _not_ be sold standalone, _only_ in game bundles.
