If IW is so concerned about how the Wii version of Modern Warfare will impress people, maybe they should actually PUT SOME EFFORT into the Wii version instead of shuffling off a two-year-old quick cash-in port job to Treyarch. But then that'd require IW to actually develop a conscience first...

Rolling eyes when mentioned the zombie mode... it seems like the guys at IW don't really like the guys at Trayarch, there's always this cold irony? when they talk about them.
Anyway, I want to see some PC footage too dammit!

I've thought about it some more and maybe we need to be a little more sensitive in regards to our queries to Infinity Ward about a possible Zombie Mode inclusion in Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare.

I mean Treyarch created the Nazi Zombie universe, and IW obviously has issues with Treyarch, so maybe the question-askers could rephrase it somehow as to whether or not some sort of similar Zombie Mode gameplay might ever be added to the Modern Warfare universe without mentioning another developer...

"What about something like the Horde Mode that Epic did for Gears of War 2?"

No... not quite right.

"What about something like the Firefight Mode that Bungie did for Halo 3: ODST?"

Nope...

"What about some sort of *new* gametype universe with infinitely spawning bad guys that are segmented into levels like Inifinity Ward did in the Call of Duty campaign levels, but *not* called Call of Duty (which IW created BTW)?"

Yep. That's perfect, and there's no way that could offend their delicate sensibilities.

...But seriously, I keed because I love.

I've always had a high amount of respect toward IW, their titles have always been excellent and highly enjoyable but the roll eye's thing has really lowered my opinion of them.
Treyarch have made some poor COD games yes (cod3 urgh) but World at War was a massive leap for them IMO, yes it used gameplay mechanics from cod4 and yes it used the cod4 engine but they finally had a lot of time to develop a cod game and it showed. They listened to the community during the beta, made some bold moves such as adding tanks to the online games (which imo works just fine), continued to support the game after release much more than IW did and they released 3 (maybe 4 soon) DLC packs after release when IW gave us one measly map pack.
Zombie mode was and is VERY successfull there's no denying that, i for one have loved it and will download another one if they release it. Maybe it's starting to stretch it to the point of milking it but if people are still buying it then why would/should they stop? it's been very profitable for them so my hat goes off to treyarch for that. I remember when waw was just coming up to release and they first showed zombie mode, Fourzerotwo mentioned it on his blog saying how good it was http://www.fourzerotwo.com/?p=527 now it seems IW have developed a cocky attitude and almost mocking Treyarch for putting the mode in. Millions of people have bought the zombie packs and loved them so IW are essentially spitting in their faces, hmmm what a good idea that is.

I have pre-ordered MW2, i will no doubt love MW2. But if anyone is 'milking' it's IW with their stupidly expensiove prestige edition, branded controllers, limited edition console etc etc. My message to Treyarch is thanks for a great game, you made managed to make a WW2 game that was still able to keep up with the times.

I don't blame IW for having dissent towards Treyarch -- they basically took COD 4 and rebuilt it into a WW II game. IW did all of the work, and Treyarch just cashed in. I am not a fanboy of IW, but if someone took something that I created, and used it for profit, I'd be pissed too.

Activision is the true culprit here; I'm sure Treyarch would rather have made their own unique game.

I too would like to know the reason behind IF disliking treyarchs work.

Maybe they am too srs, and they thought things like nazi zombies was retarded.

The game is fun and it was on the top of the xbox live charts for a while. Haven't checked lately though.

IW is probably still sore about Call of Duty 3 tainting the franchise a bit, but Treyarch stepped up to the plate and delivered something way better with World at War.

I'm guessing that he rolled his eyes at the Zombie Mode question because people probably ask that question A LOT and he doesn't want Infinity Ward to be confused with Treyarch in any way. It wasn't a slight against Joystiq and not even necessarily a slight against Treyarch. The man is tired and probably stressed out. He just let that eye roll slip. There may be a tiny bit of jealousy but in my opinion, a zombie mode wouldn't really fit into the Modern Warfare mold and neither would a Horde or Firefight mode.

Just be happy that this game looks like a worthy successor to COD4 and get ready for 11/10/09 because it's going to be awesome!!!

I tried out the demo in single player and cometitive co-op this morning. It was great. I still think Treyarch did a good with the Wii port. I liked the co-op like healing your teammates, but I had a harder time using dual analog compared to the IR aiming. I tried Killzone 2 after and had a hard time aiming as well. I've been playing W@W Wii for nine months now, so I think it'll take time to get used to dual analog. I'm getting more excited about the motion controller for PS3 now. It won't be out for MW2 but it shuold be out for the next COD after MW2. Maybe it will be compatable with all PS3 games. That would be awsome.

Infinity ward is really pissed off at Treyarch making Zombie mode which taken off half of the credit from IW.

Let me say something , from a technical standpoint codwaw is crap compared to cod4 , the game is full of bugs , can't alt-tab out properly , crashes a lot of times , ... run control is unresponsive , and a lot of other things are very different thus not even any originality from the first 2 cods , it's just a whole different game not even anything making it call of duty other than weapons and ww2 theme.

Althought ww2 theme is okay , cause it makes sense , diversity , if it would be modern it would definitely suck and people would be stick with 2 games pretty much the same(I would play cod4 that's no doubt)

Also :" What do you guys think about Six Days in Fallujah? The developer of that game took a real world event and made it a game. You all went with a fictional setting. "

This is a stupid question, the game and the developer of that game closed, setting something in real events is also stupid , the game boasted american battling in the city , but we all know real events aren't so true what you see on TV.
Why the heck even this question , like that you feel it was good in terms of ideology , please , this operation and the whole iraqi freedom is a disaster and no win for usa. What are you , playing civilization in real world.
I thank IW for hopefully avoiding this things as much as possible , as we know usa as overall makes games that have content of shooting all other nations in the world , yet nobody complaints, if that would be vice versa the games would be banned in usa and it would be massive massive measures againt that people that made the game where you kick some american ass.

Why I have been trying to say also it's that that these controversial acts againts six days in fallujah are from people that WERE In the "WAR" and form people who know what the heck is going on. Six Days are promoting usa "progress" , in real world it is a disaster of terrible size.

Why do veterans oppose , they know the facts behind , you , TV and internet people think what the corruption and propaganda throws at you.

Something about Six Days you perverts.

A representative from the UK peace group, Stop the War Coalition commented, "The massacre carried out by American and British forces in Fallujah in 2004 is amongst the worst of the war crimes carried out in an illegal and immoral war. It is estimated that up to 1,000 civilians died in the bombardment and house to house raids... The American led assault on Fallujah pretended there were no civilians left in the city BUT over 50,000 people remained in their homes and took the brunt of the violence and chemical weapons...To make a game out of a war crime and to capitalize on the death and injury of thousands is sick... The massacre in Fallujah should be remembered with shame and horror not glamorized and glossed over for entertainment."
