Today's Nikkei newspaper reveals (via Inside Games) that Kyoto-based Nintendo is looking to mix things up in its quality control department, by turning it into a separate subsidiary: Mario Club. Not to be confused with Club Nintendo, the role of the subsidiary will be to test play and debug games -- y'know, like every other QA team in existence.
Aside from the great name, the Mario Club will also be a public entity, meaning that one day you non-blogger types could very well purchase some stock in the company. Of course, we would never be able to, thanks to that party-pooper, ethics. That guy just has a way of sucking all of the fun out of the room.

Wait, I thought that that has always been around for the longest time. That name has been in the testing section of almost all Nintendo releases' credit roll at the end of the games. So are they pretty much breaking off and be their own company instead of just another QA section?
I don't know, I'm just slightly confused since that name "Mario Club" has been around for years.

Sony ponies is probably THE worst saying ever. It's just dumb. What's next?

and for the record, I am a MS/Nintendo kind of guy(different from a fanboy) and I am really tired of this kind of stuff. Iv played very little but i can tell you that Uncharted is one of the best games on the PS3 and a lot of fun. It sold fairly well and even if it was compared to 360 games it would have been a decent seller.

Give me a break. I don't own a PS3, I had one and sold it because I beat MGS4, but even I can see the appeal of one. Why are you trying so hard to hate on a console? How does it doing well even effect you? You keep claiming that the PS3 is immense fail, how? All 3 systems are doing just fine this gen. They will all be around next gen as well, why wouldn't they? They each have got decent sales and will continue to do so. Every console has exclusive games that are worth owning the system for. If all you can think of is MGS and God of War than you must not pay much attention to this site.

I love your last line. If anyone is nervous (which lets be honest, no one is...why would they?) it would be Microsoft. Nintendo has no reason to be nervous, they are clear ahead of the competition in sales. Sony has no reason to be nervous, they've been posting 1000% up sales since the Slim. Microsoft cut the elite price and didn't see too much of a change. Again though, no one really has a need to be "nervous", they are all doing fine.

Well I'm bored, so I'll bite.
"Aside from MGS4 and God of War what else is there?"
The Ratchet And Clank series, GT5, Uncharted, LBP, The Agent, PixelJunk series, FF XIV, FF Versus XIII, Heavy Rain, inFamous, Killzone 2, The Last Gaurdian, ModNation Racers, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1/2, Resistance 1/2, Socom, MAG, Valkyria Chronicles, Time Crisis 4, MLB:The Show, Wipeout, Fat Princess... and I know I missed a lot.
There are just as many good and great Xbox 360 exclusives and Wii exclusives. Listing two games as the entire library is so pointless these days.

I seriously can't believe you don't see why you were banned, dude. First, you're not contributing to the subject at hand. Second, you're putting people down because of your opinionated view. And third, you don't admit to your own stupidity.
Give it up, man. You can't win.

"Lol u wouldn't say that if u knew how long i've been here. I come here daily. I pay attention to the games that are coming out for all the systems."
Apparently you're just brain dead then. The no game argument stopped being valid years ago.

About the list, I loved SotC and Ico, and so did a lot of other people. So you're going to ignore a ton of great games just because of one or two you didn't like? That's what rentals are for!
About the personal attack on you. Let me guess, talking about the infamous encounter with Chin-Poh that happened last year? The one where he kept apologizing afterwards yet you still call him "chin-poo" even to this day? The incident that left him apologizing to you even months after it happened, but you still attacked him for his personality?

Dear God man, shut up already. You're not even a particularly good troll. What does this even have to DO with Nintendo or Mario Club. Stop shitting up this comment thread with your idiocy and take it someplace appropriate, like /v/, or gamefaqs. You'll have plenty of company there.
Gah, just reading your post makes me want to buy a PS3 just to spite you and I don't even like Sony.

so can third parties send in their games for some quality control. cause i sure quite a few companies would be interested based on nintendo track record of quality and success.
also their new icon and trademark should be a overturned table.

Hahaha, why an overturned table?
Also, Nintendo would be stupid not to realize the potential you just pointed out. But also, there's the fact that if they did, their workload would be massive, which would mean that QA would go down the drain to try to meet deadlines and such.
In a way, it's a goldmine, but at the same time, it's feeble.

@ JBGUY2K
Miyamoto has also been known to have Nintendo implement delays "to make a game [...] of the high quality standards that Nintendo is known for",at times even scrapping the entire development of games. He and fellow developers refer to this scrapping as "Chabudai Gaeshi" (ちゃぶ台返し, "upending the tea table"). that is why an upended table should be their logo.
